Seems like the file: River_Pebbles_DIF is corrupted and crashes the game now its stopping being copied from the workshop folder into the mods folder.

FYI: when you go into hive buildings it crashes like 90% of the time, 100% of the time in the case of robotics shops. plus the infinite loading thing but that's usually fixed by reload/import.

uhm, I found out the textures in Kenshi are already compressed. for example a 2.7mb texture is 16mb uncompressed, 5.3mb with dxt5 compression and 2.7mb with dxt1 compression.

seemed like a notable performance increase first but then scenes wouldnt load (keep being paused, not loading completely)

my VRAM is never near full, is this still useful?

Can we get a version that does not size down the textures but just compresses them?

Thanks this mod is a MUST DOWNLOAD. It improved my loading times (playing on HDD) from 10 seconds in some zones to 5 seconds or so. Multi switching from characters in different areas also go from 1-5 seconds loading to instant to 1-2 second loading. It made the game from a loading simulator to almost instant loading for most zones.

The mod is broken. Instead of a desert - a pink plane without details. Units "float" above the ground.

попробую модикс, отпишусь если что)
с фпс проблем не наблюдаю, но подгрузки бесячие

Amazing mod. Only thing it needs is before/after pics.

Game is Noticeably faster

Always crash on hive villages specially factories and robotics and on rare occasions random hive houses, beware when going inside any hive related buildings. there could be more, that i havent seen, use with caution. though if you really struggle with lags just dont go in any hive buildings and your game will run at least a lil bit smoother and less loading times. always use shift+F12 to fix stuff whenever you got to new locations. I'll recommend it if you have no plans engaging with hive faction.

Lo que no te dice la descripcion es que ademas borra cosas "extras" tipo detalles del mapa para apoyar el rendimiento, si no te interesan esas cosas genial, pero para otros como yo que hasta la más minima roca es importante pues no lo instalo.

If you have any issues with this mod, just make sure it's first in your mod loader. Also I don't have any mods that add new assets to the game, so that may also be a factor. So far no crashes and load times are a bit shorter.

This mod is 5 years old and prone to crash the game more often.

After 22. Feb. 2024. patch.
This workshop crashed my game on save load.
So it's not working for me atleast.

for anyone confused, this is a graphics downgrade, not an upgrade. you trade texture quality for performance with this.

Seems to have made my game significantly slower, bottom of load order with UWE

How noticeable is the different between vanilla textures and this mod?

Anyone experiencing issues after installing this mod need to make sure you aren't using other mods that affect the resolution or texture qualities, usually shader overhauls will cause issues but can be fixed by using the correct load orders.

Does it have the same effect of just turning the the texture setting in game ?

I just wanted to pop in and show some thanks for the mod. Running on an older machine and this made the game far more playable. Appreciate the work!
