I haven't played CK2 for many years, does anyone know if this fix is relevant?

I seem to have encountered this bug. If I just sub to this, will it work now or do I have to revert to an older save?

@Drax70 so as my mod is merely a fix for vanilla, you ought to uninstall mine and keep HIP. Problem solved :)

Yeah, Just as I suspected, HIP is the guilty one... or... the right one?
I always used both mods...
I've checked HIP mod "ze_introduce_heir.txt" file and it is completely deferent, deferent code and triggers.

@Drax well, actually it's "Introduce to Realm".

In any case, I'm reading the files now and there is a number of reasons why you still have the ambition despite having an adult heir.

For the ambition to succeed one of your children has to be an adult and NOT a bastard, eunuch, celibate, incapable or a monk. Plus your gender law has to match this child's gender.

One other reason why you might be having problems is if you have an incompatible mod somewhere.

I can change it, but the point is that it stays like that until I cancel it because the heir is a grown man till then.
Maybe the problem is that it has to do with the vassals not with the court, ironicaly...

Anyway, Paradox fault, not your's!

@Drax70 to introduce an heir to the court you need 7-ish vassals. Can't say why you still have the ambition despite having an adult heir - it shouldn't be possible and is probably a bug.

This doesn't work for the norse.. I play as a Jarl in Gotland and I have the ambition for the heir. But when I check to introduce him to the court, nothing happens and I get stuck with the ambition, despite the fact that he now is 25+ years old.

@Riekopo Community Patch should have this mod built in. I haven't checked myself though.

When I run the Paradoxos Mod Manager tool it says this mod is in conflict with the Community Patch mod. Are they not compatible?

@DAOWAce I don't have ck2 installed atm, but seeing as there apparently hasn't been an update since June, I'd guess yeah, it's still not fixed.

@CrazyJ the SpaceMonkey the main requirement is the ambition to "groom an heir". Other than that you need you need an underage child who is at least 12 and is your primary heir. I will point out that this mod does not add any new features to the game, it merely fixes one broken vanilla feature.

@K.Y Kasmir sorry for late answer. It's unlikely that it would work with AGOT, but, on the other hand, I think that the developers of AGOT would have fixed this problem themselves. If not, they should.

News update: the upcoming patch for CK2 still doesn't appear to fix the issue, so this mod is still relevant.

I find it's a shame that Paradox staff doesn't read bug reports on their forum. Other users read the bugs but they always defend Paradox by saying everything is going as planned and that it isnt an actual bug, as if Paradox is almighty and incapable of making mistakes
