I do not understand why the modder added this feature, it completely breaks your custom settings if you're playing Sandbox mode as well, it overrides your preferences. Very dissapointed.
Basically makes zombies have eagle eye sight set to maximum, meaning large radius of sight and wider sight cone, so they spot you from farther away or in their peripherals.
It also increases the zombie hearing, which means zombies have super hearing now can even hear dying zombies far away or when you're fighting.
These two "zombies cheating" adjustments into the mod code gives you this endless loop of nonstop zombies coming no matter what you're doing, if you kill one zombie, it will be heard by the others from afar, zombie vision range and angle is massive OP as well. Many people have reported this odd feeling of "zombies are coming nonstop from all sides" or "feels like the mod is intentionally leading zombies towards me all the time"...

I used mod “NecroForge 2.7b” on a test game to go into God mode and Ghost mode. I went to see how zombies react with the mod “Restless Zombies Fixed” enabled. Some stand still, some shuffle a bit and some lurk around. I followed one on a straight path out of the city which proves to me that they can. These zombies are moving around, normally, as zombies should be, in my opinion, day and night, never resting. Thank you Conflictx, I want to give you the Take My Points award when I have enough in my balance. Above all, you deserve that award the most.
I have respawn turned off in sandbox mode, so one day slowly but surely, like in the book, I will take back the land. My base is in a remote area and I swear, there must have been a zombie from the city that reached my area on its own. I was shocked! I have not seen a zombie for an in-game month. Sandbox is set to 2 real time hours for 1 in-game day. I always knew they might eventually reach me because of the mod “Restless Zombies Fixed”, and I worked so hard to stabilize myself in-game, so I am always looking over my shoulders on the, what if, what if today is the day they reach me and bite me chance and all my effort was for nothing. This feeling of “what if” kept the sharpness and fun factor in the game for me and continues to give me a rich gameplay.
This mod works for me with the current build version 41.50 – IWBUMS. You, Conflictx, have single handedly fully completed this game for me with your fixes and tweaks. I cannot ask anything else for the zombies to make them even more perfect. This was the one thing that the zombies were missing. I am a gigantic fan of the classic zombies. I have turned away, what feels like 95%, of zombie games and books due to the lack of trueness of the classic zombie. I play my games safe, methodical, time consuming. I try to make believe that I am dealing with an actual zombie apocalypse and follow the guidelines from the book “The Zombie Survival Guide, complete protection from the living dead” by Max Brooks. I always envisioned a day where this Survival Guide was going to be my bible to stay alive. Project Zomboid was missing one thing, just one thing that stuck in my craw was that they did not have the potential to wonder around regardless of distance.
