Sorry I can't make another version, uploading things to the workshop is a total pain and its one of the reasons I haven't done much of anything in the past years.

If you just want it for personal use you should be able to extract the addon and just remove the flashlight sound.

However your probably going to want to look for a newer guide on doing that since gmod changed where it saves .gmas about a year ago.

I did not include any death sounds, if you mean the default flatline beeping, that sound can be overwritten by any other death sound mod.

Removing that sound would just make garrysmod play the default flatline beep sound, you would need to just get a mod that removes the default death sound.

is there a way to disable the death sounds?

No you have to unsubscribe from this addon to use the one you modified, otherwise this will overwrite the folder version.

If you want to make sure every addon that you have unsubscribed from is actually gone open the console in the main menu by hitting the " ` " key (the one above TAB) and type in menu_cleanupgmas and it will remove every unused .gma file... or delete the .gma for only this addon.

You should be all done now ;)

Must I still be subscribed to this addon when I drag the folder into addons?

It usually makes a folder with the name of the .gma and then all you need to do is put the folder back into your addons and it should work just fine.

You drag the .gma file right onto gmad.exe and it extracts the .gma for you right there in the same folder.

Drag the .gma file *onto* it? you mean click on it and drop in on the .exe? How's that gonna work?

Really? Gmad.exe comes with every installation of garrysmod, all you need to do is drag the .gma file of this onto Gmad.exe and it automatically extracts it.

Make sure you don't go into the garrysmod folder insider of the garrysmod folder, you want to go to Garrysmod>Bin. Not Garrysmod>Garrysmod>bin.

Um, remember that tutorial you gave me about the weapon selection sounds? I was wondering what I have to activate in the bin folder. Because "gmad.exe" isn't present in the folder.

The only thing that the GoldSRC hud changes is the selection sound when you press a number and it opens up the weapon menu (It's part of the addon) but it won't seem like the authentic hl1 hud with the selection sounds in this pack. I still want the other sounds used in this addon (Like the suit charger sounds from BMS), but excluding the selection sounds.

PLUS Version has been updated, the sounds are now original sourced so there should no longer be any permission conflicts with other users.

I'm not sure which ones the GoldSRC Hud changes but if it doesn't change all of them your still going to be hearing either default noises or sounds from this mod unless I completely remove everything from the common folder, so this is kind of a tough descision :|

Your best bet for now would be to just drag the .gma of this addon (from your addon folder) into gmad.exe (Its located in your gmod folder : garrysmod\bin) and then once you do that it extracts the addon into a folder that you can then go into sound>common , and delete wpn_denyselect, wpn_hudoff, wpn_moveselect, and wpn_select.

Once you do that just move the enhanced_audio_resources_player_legacy folder into your addons folder in Garrysmod\garrysmod\addon , unsubscribe from this, and you should have the same thing but without the selection sounds.

Well I'm probably going to end up just removing the weapon selection sounds from the the PLUS version because I feel Half Way Lambda would probably prefer I do not use his 2 sounds. Doing that would allow anyone to use whatever weapon selection sounds they desire, however...

The problem with doing that is there is some weapon selection sounds that are not all replaced by other packs, so you would end up with a few sounds being default while other being replaced.

Here are the hud sounds this mod replaces :

I don't actually want the weapon change sounds, because I have the GoldSRC hud and the selection sounds in this pack mess it up. It would work perfectly if it weren't for the selection sounds... Because I actually need this for the BMS suit charger sounds that are in this pack.

The zipper selection sound? Yeah I didn't really like it either but after hearing the ones in Kel's I preferred these much more.

Read my reply carefully, I said if it's still messed up and doesn't work, unsubscribe from both, restart your gmod(That means if you already have it on, quit the game entirely, go back in again and then turn it off again). Then subscribe on this one.

What? I didn't use kel's version, but the menu sounds are still the same. They were never reverted. I'm now using kel's version and it's exactly the same as this one.

Like KaiserFlame said you need to make sure you aren't using Kel's version, and if you still have to problem try deleting the .gma of Kel's version.

Also this doesn't work for the SVN version.

You need to unsubscribe the kel's version before you subscribe to this one, if you messed it up, don't worry, unsubscribe from both, restart gmod without any of these mods, and then subscribe to this one again,

Um, the menu button sounds aren't reverted. They're the same as kel's version of this mod :/

Weapon Selection sounds have been reverted, I shouldn't need to update this anymore.
