Since the 1.29 update I have lost the ability to update this mod. (Thanks Paradox) I have started a new 1.29 version with new features and am currently testing it. It should be released in about a week. It will most likely need some balance tweaking. I will link to the new workshop mod from this mods description. I will no longer be updating this version. Thanks

Any chance of AI getting the ability to use this? If AI cannot use it, it seems like a cheat mod.

Honestly, this mod can be unbalanced, but I use this mod for a fun non competitive eu4 game in hard mode in single player. People say its unbalanced but myself and my friends who use it, use it just for fun. But I do agree for a 2+ hour multiplayer game it is quite unbalanced in the sense you can smash the world with your fist. Other than that love this mod and keep up the good work mod developer! Amazing work and wish you continue your endeavors in programming!

Thanks for all feedback. "Balance" is a relative term. What might seem op to some would be the edge needed for others. To that end, with the consideration to unbalanced or op, it would serve your comment better if you added suggestions to what "balance" is to you. Always willing to consider one's opinion.

i agree that this is pretty op. just a recommendation, but you could probably copypaste the advisor system of increasing cost in a way to make this more balanced.

Thank you for this mod. Now I can use ducats in more ways. I have a suggestion though the donation thing decreases unrest instead of increasing stability like 400 ducats for -2 unrest in all provinces for 10 years or something like that.

Backup any files before the following:

Navigate to "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/mod" folder
Delete all files inside this folder then empty recycle bin
Just because reboot system
Resubscribe to mod (this downloads to a steam location)
Launch EU4 launcher window and wait 30 seconds, then close out of launcher
(EU4 copies the mod to the documents folder location from above automatically)
Relaunch EU4 launcher window and under the MODS tab, check this mod
Play Game

The only other option is to uninstall/reinstall but you really shouldn't have too.

mod works well for me. on 3 different pc and 2 different accounts, downloaded mod two days ago. cnadair, try to deselect all mods, then run the game, exit and try to run again with seleted only this mod.

Really like the idea, but none of the decisions are showing up in my game. Tried it both with other mods and by itself. It's definitely checked to be active. Anybody have other suggestions to get it to work?

Started it up vanilla, but still no go. I can try and get you some log stats or something if you want and know what to look for. If I'm the only one with a problem though; I wouldn't worry about it. Probably just something stupid with the game on my end.

It should not conflict with any other mod. Try to run only this mod to see if it works. Then add more mods to see if something conflicts.

mine doesn't show up either. Does it conflict with other mods? I'm also using Catus Cheats and Extended Timeline. I have them all checked in the launcher window, and I'm on 1.28. Doesn't crash ro anything; just doesn't look like it's there

I think the price of monarch points is way too high. Ive been testing this mod for two weeks now. I've been mostly buying manpower, a general here and there, and stability. It just seems to never be worth spending the money on monarch points when i can instead build buildings to further increase my income.

I like the idea but i think the price for stability should definetly be a bit higher.

And i think inflation having an influence on the price is reasonable after all the ammount of ducats does not necessarilly reflect the value of those ducats.

Thanks for the feedback, it may be possible to change the current fixed scale to a variable scale but this would require a rewrite and I can't guarantee it will work in multiplayer. Not off the table but would have to think about it. The idea behind MP costing more per development is because MP is what drives the games linear progression through the timeline. I do not play with extended timeline mods so I can’t comment on their benefits or disadvantages. When between any tech level, adding 100 MP with ducats is a huge help/advantage. That being said… it’s in the title - FUN with Ducats. :)

To begin, great mod. I just have a few minor personal gripes with the way monarch point investment cost is calculated. I think the 1500 development ceiling should be removed-- it's rather limiting for us Extended Timeline users. While I would personally prefer a flat rate in this regard, as I feel the current system is effectively the same as the income scaling described below, would it be possible to use a more graduated system rather than the current development thresholds? I'm not at all familiar with the limitations of modding in EUIV, but if it's at all feasible then perhaps a mathematical expression (Ex: base cost of 1500 x (Development/1000) would be better suited. Hope this doesn't come off as arrogant, and my apologies if what I've suggested is impossible.

I've been looking for a more flavourfull way to mess with monarch points. I've already found a mod which did so, but it felt flavourless.

Income scaling, no. That is what inflation is for but since you can buy down inflation with vanilla there is no point. Just because you have a lot of ducats shouldn't mean the product should be more expensive. :)

@Fin, no the ai cannot use them. All the decisions contain "ai = no" in the allow = { ... } block.

Thanks, I will add to my new update coming within 24 hours. It will be 40 tradition for 40 ducats. Also coming is the ability to exchange monarch for some ducats.

Just a heads up, general pips are determined by tradition in multiples of 20. A 50 tradition general is indestinguishable from a 40 tradition general.
