Yep you can use B, and half the time your blueprint will turn to whatever direction it darn well pleases :)

Reminds me of when I used to make these catapults that would launch over 1km back in the day to topple castles, but by the time I published the world as a mini game they got nerfed and could only launch, at most, about 300m.

I think it's actually the terrain in the background offesetting how it looks to me. That and maybe the camera as well.
