Hmmm, I'm not sure that's possible, but it's an interesting idea. I'll have to look into it.

Oh, I forgot to ask. I wonder if there's a way to make a script set the buttons and such the way theyre supposed to be. That could be a good way to make sure everything is as intended after the ship is built.

I think the button grouping thing breaks because i made the button panel before i finished the other door, so it tried to make a button to open a door that doesnt exist. Im pretty sure i could fix this if i go around and remove the button panels and timers (maybe), and if theres other things that depend on those, and then make a new projection and go around welding in the panels etc AFTER the ship is completely built with doors and machines. :steamhappy:
Oh so the program is supposed to be empty! Phew i thought i broke that too! :D Huhuhu so its a toy block for me to mess around with freely then, ill grab something cool and run that in the block!

@SilverDragon Other's have had similar problems with survival construction. I'm not sure how these arise or how to fix them, as I cannot consistently reproduce them myself. I expect it has something to do with projections and perhaps the order in which things are welded, but I am not certain. (It could also have to do with the recent grouping bug, though I have not investigated that possibility much.)

The programmable block is meant to be blank, it is just there for those who wish to use it. (none of the ship operations depend on it)

Future large ships of mine will include a projector setup for welding the ship so that buttons and groupings don't get messed up. This will also be useful for repairs. Instruction on how to use the projector will be in the ship description and images.

~ thanks for the feedback

The ship is really beautiful! I cant wait to take it for a trip :lunar2019piginablanket: I saw there is a programmable block, but theres no program in it, some of the buttons in the panels dont seem to work either. I wonder if there's a way to fix those, like maybe if i do another projection on top of it and make it rebuild the broken things?

Ah I see. That'd be a nice addition, I was planning on swapping out a gyro for the projector.
Would you be able to give me a rough idea on what I should build first if I was to tear down and rebuild?

Yeah, I've had that problem sometimes too. This might be an important point for me to deal with. If it turns out to be a projector problem I've already been thinking of adding "repair projectors" to all my ships, as well as instruction on how to start and build from them in survival in order to make sure all the block groups, buttons, and controls are properly assigned.

thank you ^^ I have noticed that on the toolbars some icons / blocks are missing, including cameras, even though everything appears to be named correctly in the menus, and that in a creative world it works perfectly

@GCrane93 Hmmm, everything worked for me last time. It might have something to do with building from a projector (the block groups might get set wierd), or maybe missing some timer blocks while constructing (they're hidden everywhere). I'll do some testing and get back to you.

Love this ship and the rest of the series, looking forward to seeing what comes next.
I do have a problem building this in survival, the sensors to close the hanger doors work, but I can't get them to open, and the other buttons don't actually work

@Berg Here is the first of many compatible ships to come: Freefin .

@blub9529 Glad you like it, hope you get some good use out of it!
blub9529 17. jan. 2019 kl. 11:24
Exactly what I was trying to build, and what I need! Thank you!
shiftyshadow  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2019 kl. 13:32
@Berg You could certainly do that. I have a couple projects with matching merge ports on the way as well.
Berg 12. jan. 2019 kl. 16:39
Once I have the materials for it, I'll connect two of these bases together!

@TheEpicCaravan Usually I'm much more informative with my labeling, but I was so tired when I was finishing up this post. Things got... creative, haha. Glad someone got a laugh out of it though. :)
