Despite any warnings the game might give you, this (and all other flag mods) should work perfectly in 3.3.*.

Nevermind, the red and green are blending to yellow in the third color areas.
Still can't create my German Empire with a proper flag. :(

The plot thickens: The three colors used in the empire's flag in the savegame are red, green, and black, but in the game it show up as yellow, red and green.

Hello! i've found a fallen empire in one of my games with a three-color flag where the third color was NOT just a mix of color 1 & 2, and it turns out that this mod was the one that added the background that empire used.
However, despite using the same flag background and noting which colors on their flag belonged to which colors on the actual DDS file, I've been unable to replicate it in my own empire.
Any ideas why it seems to only work for AIs, and if it can work for players, what I'm doing wrong?

The mod is still functional in all ways. You can safely ignore the out of date / wrong version error.

Sorry, only solid black or the 'tertiary' colour (mixed primary and secondary) are available to my knowledge.

Can you please add a tricolor type flag with a solid unchangeable middle white line?

So, I found a UI overhaul/ expanded color patch. It rearranged my flag screen but it works now.

Yeah strange, in my personal mod list I run with even more flag mods, and I can choose from all of mine still. Perhaps it's that UI mod?

Which is weird because, I'm running like 26 mods. Your mod is the only flag background mod. I am running. But I am running a UI mod because of NSC2. I used to run your mod with a lot more mods running in 2.5.x

The scroll menu should appear automatically, it seems to have a maximum range though so having too many mods that add backgrounds may make you unable to select them all

Ok, It looks like I can't scroll through the flags, any idea how to fix this.

This mod is purely cosmetic. Unless the flag system has been radically altered, the exclamation point may be safely ignored.

I have been waiting for a mod like this for a long time. The Default ones are so limited and some new one are very, very nice.

There really is a size limit, apparently. I'm crashing on going to the flag tab and the crash log says it can't load any more textures. Not that it's the fault of any individual mod, I just have a ton of them.

So I'm looking at the flags with a third colour and I'm thinking there has to be a way to add a Tertiary colour selection, Im wondering if it has ever been done or attempted and how difficult it would be to do because I've always been annoyed that Stellaris only lets you pick two colours and not three,

My mod list is pretty big... not plenty of only flag mods but there are some. Given that it crash when I try to create an empire, i think it's some conflict too. Just wanted to warn you

Do you have a large amount of flag mods? You could be hitting a size limit that I am not aware of.

I don't know why: All I know is that with your mod in my mod list, as soon as I open the edit of my empire in the flag window, it crash. Just warning... My modding skills are not that advanced. What I know is that this does not happens if I deactivate your mod

The only way it can conflict with another mod, is if there is another mod with the exact same name as my mod, and considering all my mods have the prefix IFN1, that is next to impossible.

I'm not sure to be honest folks, I generally only make mods for stuff I use. I do however understand the need to keep it the same style as vanilla, so I may do so at some point.
