Unfortunately, this mod is outdated.
This one is currently the most up-to-date:

crap is there a new version of this somewhere? I'd really love to only have my themed empires spawn, that would be really amazing.

@Ruby... I share your PAIN!!! WHY PARADOX! (they *paradoxically* made something unbelievably great... and then left some glaring painful features lacking...)
Adept 29. jan. 2023 kl. 8:47
I guess the bunch of empires which still shows up are ones that have been introduced after this mod was created.
Ruby 13. okt. 2022 kl. 16:31
Can anyone explain this shit to me please? {LINK FJERNET} I want them all gone so I can play only with my own chaotic mix of empires but for some reason Stellaris does not believe in the a galaxy far far away without their own creations in it. :(

does it work with 3.4 too?

Now this looks promising. Was desperately seeking a way to get rid of the defaults.

Thanks

Add an empty file named "95_aquatics_prescripted_countries"
Mura 26. apr. 2022 kl. 11:02
If you happen to still be updating the mod, the Aquatic Species DLC adds a default empire that still shows up, the Sathyrelian Bliss.
Seabatt 30. juli 2021 kl. 22:26
Version that removes ALL Preset empires.
Mura 18. juli 2021 kl. 9:26
Cool beans, thanks!

@TMilla0 @The Last Raven Thanks for the notifications, I updated the mod. Seems that Stellaris changed the file names in one of the recent patches.
Mura 16. juli 2021 kl. 22:30
Same here, still getting 7default empires showing up, same 7 listed below
TMilla0 26. apr. 2021 kl. 21:28
With just this mod installed, I still have 7 default empires showing up. United Nations of Earth, Commonwealth of Man, Voor Technocracy, Kilik Cooperative, Orbis Customer Synergies, Chinoor Combine, and Hazbuzan Syndicate. I guess I can understand the Human Empires still showing up since there's hardcoded events for them, but why do the others still show up? It looks like the mod is updated for Dick.

Also, I was reading through past comments. Was the bug where Empires you were trying to force spawn wouldn't been fixed yet? It looks like it's been quite awhile from those comments and I never really had that many custom empires until recently.
jesusjr 11. jan. 2021 kl. 14:08
thanks its portraits 12 and 13 on fungoid
aaronfranke  [ophavsmand] 5. jan. 2021 kl. 21:56
@jesusjr This mod doesn't remove any portraits, only the empires. As for making another mod to remove the portraits, this should be very easy to do. A mod would just need to overwrite "Stellaris/gfx/portraits/portraits/05_portraits_fungoid.txt" with whatever set of fungoid portraits you want (or an empty file for no fungoid portraits). See if you can figure out which numbers you want removed. I will see if I have time to update my mods, and if so I should be able to make this for you... eventually :)
jesusjr 3. jan. 2021 kl. 20:01
any chance you can make small one removing the obvious fungoid pics. Like one above and the horse cock one. Ruins my game everytime I see those.
aaronfranke  [ophavsmand] 21. apr. 2020 kl. 7:03
@Joeseph De Yang I haven't updated this mod in awhile, I promise I will do so eventually though. I will be resetting my computer when Ubuntu 20.04 comes out so maybe then I'll work on getting my mods updated to the latest version of Stellaris.
coeur.sombre 20. apr. 2020 kl. 11:26
hmm I tried removing the files from prescribed countries accept for default,. I tried the mod but still am getting the default empires in my generated maps. I think its hard coded into the game or something. They really should add an option to click on what empires someone wants on a map. I did manage to remove the defaulot empires from the playable empires lol thats something in the right direction
nighthawk 13. nov. 2019 kl. 11:40
Elorae, should only be a matter of opening up the mods and searching for the specific species in their files, then removing those lines of code.
*No guarantees, no warranty, etc.

Imagine a world without the Blorg.

Despicable.
Elorae 14. juni 2019 kl. 18:58
That's okay, could you just let me know how to do it manually?
aaronfranke  [ophavsmand] 7. juni 2019 kl. 18:48
@Elorae That's out of scope for this mod, sorry.
Elorae 3. maj 2019 kl. 14:43
How would I turn off preset empires from mods without turning the mods off? I have a bunch of those too... couldn't find advice when I tried to look it up online
aaronfranke  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2019 kl. 17:58
@Tenacity If you find a solution to that, please post it here. I find it annoying too. But note that it only force-spawns about two random empires. If you spawn 20 total and set 20 custom empires to spawn, about 18 should actually end up showing up.
tenacity25 21. mar. 2019 kl. 16:48
Any clue if there's a mod that will stop the random AIs from overriding my own created empires?
It's annoying having a ton of random empires spawn when i have like 5 or 6 set to forced spawn and only like 1-3 appear. I know this mod isn't meant to do that, and I haven't seen one for this yet, so I thought I'd ask.
Dren 20. mar. 2019 kl. 4:53
Not work
Keltskiy 7. feb. 2019 kl. 23:59
So I'm looking for a mod the removes Default/Vanilla ships, didn't find what I was looking for but I found this.
Teal 2. jan. 2019 kl. 15:34
Added your link to my mods description for folks who want to keep UNE/CM. Thanks.
aaronfranke  [ophavsmand] 31. dec. 2018 kl. 14:14
@Freeasabird🕊 I have that problem too, but this mod isn't meant to fix that problem, sorry.
Freeasabird🕊 31. dec. 2018 kl. 13:41
The only selectable defualt empires are are indeed The human empires, However when i start a new game i'm still getting all other alien races on my game instead MY custom races in my game. reguardless if i lock them in or not.
aaronfranke  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2018 kl. 19:07
@No Name

1. Disable this mod

2. Edit and save the Blorg

3. Re-enable this mod

4. Profit, the Blorg now appear as a custom empire.
Davi 29. dec. 2018 kl. 18:41
You can just remake them...
No Name 29. dec. 2018 kl. 18:10
I got an odd request. Any chance of a version keeping the human empires AND the blorg? No one else.
