Seeing the new planet that we expect in the last update of November 2020, I will wait to see the results.
The new planet is precious and I believe that it offers the same as my planet.

I'd say have a seperate version that has platnum in it, so there's still a 'vanilla-like' version.

Works well with new water mod. I used a radius of 1.00493. Create island chains with sandy ocean floor and very few underwater trees.

Agree with comment below, It makes little sense for there to be ANY life without some water, so ice if it was rare, and deep, would be an excellent idea. I'm down with the concept of hard to escape, but I am finding it nigh impossible unmodded.

Rare tiny ponds (oasis) would be nice. Or scarce undrground water/ice.

Because I dont like the vaporator mod. It sounds like a survival feature,... but it actually makes it easier

Plus It would be another good reason to go on a search

Start a new world then replace the current plant file with the one from the new world.
This is done in your save files.
The players will have to dig out their stuff afterwards though.

Ohh darn, already started a world on it with players hehe. Is it a way to add it in afterwards? Thanks for addressing the issue, regardless we'll just reuse the updated/fixed version next wipe if its not possible to fix on the fly.

I cant seem to get wolves to spawn on a dedicated server. Otherwise beautiful planet.

You could have ice only in mountains.
If this is a pre-made planet instead of random gen type then you could have a few craters at the tops of mountains (like volcanoes) that the ice is formed in.

Platinum isn't spawning on this planet. Turns out it's not marked correctly in the mat texture. You should change the planet generator definition value to 219, or change the _mat textures' blue channel layer to include the values 212, 217, and 222. (Also I noticed a bunch of spots marked with 0 value)

@russ28 make a blueprint and paste it in. I just spawned in immediately made a blueprint saved it and use that for starts on other planets that you can't spawn on.

I haven't been playing SE long, sorry if this is obvious, but how do you spawn in lander on the new planet once you have spawned planet in? I have only been able to do it by respawning ie killing myself. Is there a better way?
