A biplane might fix that. I'm trying to make one thats both practical and asthetically pleasing.
I am tempted to build a second carrier that is much larger that could fit thoughs types of aircraft as they appear to fly more smooth, maybe even base it off the Nimitz class.
This time, a catapult idea. Fairly simple.
A single person would operate the catapult by connecting ropes to planes and then locking the drum in to launch said plane. You'd then unlock the drum and hook up another plane.
In the first, I don't fly the plane, in the second, I do. Its a bit edgy but works.

And yes, the aircraft *does* manage to *barely* takeoff from that front position.
