It's an old video, the Developers removed the TruSky technology that creates those clouds years ago.

Is there any sort of Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis Night sky available for Chernarus? I have seen it on Namalsk. Would love to see someone create a mod like this for Chernarus... It would be sick!

My post was over a month ago. I figured it out since then. I was using persistent time, which also creates persistent date. So, while I had my server set for a specific date, as the time progressed, so did the date. On my test server I didn't have persistent time. I disabled persistent time and fixed the problem.

There's more than date,time and location to take into account, weather settings play a huge part in how lighting is spread across the terrain.

I noticed that weather is not working well with this mod. You only get cloud overcast to lv 2 so it will never rain or be foggy. You can force the weather but that looks wierd

@MrAlfred: The mod makes changes to the map data via config, so my understanding would be that both client and server require the mod. ;-)

@Uncle Fester, the simple answer is yes, however the peak times for full Midnight Sun would be through June, July and August.

Great work! Does that mean server owners would need to change the server start time to coincide with April 7 to September 4 to get Midnight Sun?
I think this would be awesome with the Chernarus snow mod !
