I'd completely forgotten it was even possible to play siege defense battles in WH:TW. Now I'm just sitting in my dwarf holds nice and comfy, remembering how fun Medieval 1 and 2 siege defenses were. Thanks for this one.

@mrzhuyk, it's is strong enough or it wouldn't attack, and the other army is clearly not trying to move there or it would. It's not a problem, it's literally in the description that the mod "Changes the AI's behaviour so it will attack more frequently when the odds are not completely in their favour, they will even try an attack when the odds are pretty balanced and they may not succeed"

What you are asking for is the vanilla game where it will only try to attack with overwhelming odds and chances are it will always succeed.

If it's not in reinforcement range then it won't join the attack, it should wait a round and two army together fight siege battle. But the problem is that the siegeing army directly attacks and the behind army don't move to reinforcement range after a round. Also, the siegeing army isn't strong enough. Is this a problem with mod? I just want more ai army to together attack.

@mrzhuyk, if it's not in reinforcement range then it won't join the attack, if the first army is strong enough it won't wait for them...is that what you mean?

Don't quite understand. I mean the back army should move forward siegeing army first then attack. But siegeing army first attacks.

@mrzhuyk No, it doesn't effect reinforcement ranges or probability. I have seen this before in vanilla when an AI does a lightning strike in range of a reinforcing army, and it negates it's own reinforcements like an idiot, maybe that's the reason?

There are two enemy armies. One of them siege my city and the other is in the back. In the second round, siegeing army directly attacks but the other is still in the back. Is this a compulsory offense required by the mod?

@HughJanus69 Probably not SFO, overhaul mods change so many files they probably change the ones in this mod as well causing a conflict

@Altria丿 Probably, I haven't really played it much yet, I'm sure when Immortal empires is released i'll want to play it more and then mod the game, I didn't enjoy the rift mechanics so never even got to balancing it the way I like it

I haven't tried it out so far, but let's give it a shot! I just want that the AI attacks my walled settlements more frequently so that I can enjoy the ways of war and combat. And since I almost every time play as the Dark Elves, taking pleasure in war is extremely normal.:steamhappy:

Also would be wonderful if the mod could be tuned a bit down so the AI does not send tiny armies vs large garrisons, its sending all its Lords to suicide.
If at all possible AI should always try to outnumber the garrison+defenders instead of launching 3vs20 attacks.

although i dont plan on winning i did see the ai keep on attack without this mod they just afk in the open see like and idiot.. i dont know how to check ai upkeep tho

@OnePunchGay No, that's the mod doing what it should, you have added up reduced upkeep so it changes the balance. You can't use mods like this together, they simply won't work as intended

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod... is the most amazing, Mandatory, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excellent, superbly crafted thing to exist. While not able to coerce this ♥♥♥♥♥-AI to attack you if you station defenses in it, IT WILL guarantee attacks and barely any wait before an attack. No update since 2018 and it works like a charm.

My frustration with this cowardly, ♥♥♥♥♥ foot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage AI made by morons is beyond words ability to define. Thank you for making this so I can continue my High Elf campaign and have some fun. Auto-resolve is still broken to ♥♥♥♥ and I win 300 vs 2000 but at ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ least I can fight my battles MAX force to MAX and not wait bloody ages only to lose 80 % of my army before the AI decides its time.

Thank you for this and to hell with whoever designed the default AI for this game. I can actually finally get to watch some battles and get off the freaking campaign map...

The only thing i think which maybe an issue is that the other mod also tweaks the build time of siege equipment.
Should i therefor perhaps have this loaded first(loadorder?) if i would prefer the other balancing of build time?

Which is infinitely better, Winston... than sitting and waiting for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to ever attack even if he outnumbers you 2-1. Sieges are fun, AI's " brain" ruins that fun in that.

still working, but this mod makes AI dumb as hell.
这个mod主要是极大的提高了所有派系的进攻性,所以导致全图AI都在四处送死。你只需要把一支军队停在空地就会有无数杂兵向你冲来送钱。这也直接导致了很多派系起不来,后发势力永远都在送钱。

Would you happen to know how to get the AI to always attack when under siege? Having to wait them out or them stubbornly starving to death is getting dull.

There was a mod for this out there already I swear but either the owner deleted it or I can't find it. I'm 90% it has to do with the cai_personality_strategic_components_tables

@Tux, it's the new stupid launcher, it keeps failing to upload updates and then changing descriptions on my mods....grrrr....

Anyway it's safe to use, but no update for the latest patch, as I said above I'm having loads of issues trying to upload the update, it should still work though even though it will be classed as out of date

If you can fix the AI suiciding into cities 1 army at a time this mod would be pretty good. But as is it is unplayable.

I really like the idea here (as in over 400 hours of vanilla gameplay, I'm yet to play siege defence) but I think you've over-done it a little. The AI will suicide into cities with huge garrisoned armies and you can build siege equipment way too fast.

This is just my opinion but I would suggest dialling it back so the AI will only attack if it at least has an even balance bar BUT have the AI initiate the actual siege battle after much fewer turns of building siege equipment. For the equipment build time, just double vanilla (so one piece per turn) would be sufficient.

I like the mod overall but I'm getting the ai suiciding full stacks into my garrisons of 15 plus a full stack one of my full stacks were even on a field battle they have no chance of winning. So maybe make the ai be less inclined to rush face first into an unwinnable siege.

I think this mod has good points but it makes it very easy to just cheese the outoresolve because you can build multiple siegetowers and unlimited rams in one turn what gives you a huge advantage in auto resolve...

Thank you for this, this mod is exactly what I was looking for to bring back the sort of feeling that we had in shogun 2 when the AI actually attacked the player.

I am really enjoying this. Unfortunately, one problem I have encountered is that the AI now has a tendency to suicide, throwing a stack of say 3 units into a garrison of 15+, etc. Other than that, it is fantastic.

In terms of during war, it doesn't effect the AI in terms of diplomacy. They are more likely to attack settlements and when sieging they don't just sit outside the settlement, but normally attack within two turns
