I really like the look of this Firewall block, but also like the new v3 version. I am often looking for some nice alternate decorations. It would be awesome to have this firewall as either a simple decoration or as a programmable block. But would loading both this version and v3 cause conflicts? I don't want to crash the new one just for a cool looking block...

Added PCU costs and block descriptions. Fixed for SE release update. Power systems fixed. Going to fix the rest of the to-do list in the next couple days and it'll be ready for official release.

If these are being updated they should probably get PCU costs. Love the improvements though.

Hey, is it possible to do a server specific version of this mod which incorporate new components specific to a server ? .. I will give you full credit for it and leave the functionality as it is even using your thumbnail etc.

Hacking computers now respect if its in an enabled safezone and will not operate. I'm unable to refine it to respect individual safezone permissions due to modAPI restrictions.

can you make ir so they restest owner ship on grids no one owns so that the person who place the hacking computer now owns the grid?

hell yeah, have you considered an xl nanite factory, a 5x5 nanite factory that's 3 or 4 blocks tall.

Hello hadenspieler. I'm actually thinking about allowing cooperation between this mod and Nanite Control Facility V2 (which I am also the author of) to allow wireless hacking (configurable, of course). I'll keep you posted when I get to it!

@Oneill_420 doubling the target difficulty would mean that firewalls are also twice as effective at blocking hacking attempts through subgrids, since they would have a difficulty of 2000 rather than their standard 1000

Firewalls would have to be more robust to compensate for that. Eveyone would be doing hacks remotely with no risk otherwise. I do love the idea though

@MOOKIE1590 I think what I'll do is add a checkbox on the hacking block itself called "[] Scan Subgrids" that will be off by default. If checked, it will scan subgrids like normal. Adding a config file makes this mod a whole lot heavier. I'll just double the target difficulty if the target grid id != to the hackingcomputer's grid id.

Ok, I see. That would be pretty cool and give me more ideas for drones. I have a lot of mods that add NPc's to the game. I've made some drones the burrow into a ship then blow up from the inside. I've made plenty of stuff to cause damage, but I like the idea to hack it remotoly without leaving my ship
Now, if you do decide to do it, it seems there needs to be a trade off. Wouldit then be possible to add An INI config file in storage like some other mods do that would let the Admin adjust how long it takes to hack, or make it take more power, etc?

I know that add's more complexity, so if it's to much, don't worry about it. 1 step at a time.

Would it be possible to make one of these that you could put on a rocket and lock onto an object, like a landing gear with this on it?
