That was not asked but yet I'm very thankful for telling why they don't use head or taillights. Additional info is appreciated

"lights don't work." that is because the headlights & tail-lights pose a safety risk to drivers if shattered in a crash/wreck & they add to much weight, so that is why stock cars will never have headlights forever & ever
