They're all just orange or green boxes that move around. Any ideas?

Just though you should know. Not even sure if its a thing or not hope it helps.
I have another question to the author of the mod @Red-Eyed_Fairace (this and 2 others mentioned here, I use all 3 mods) - did you introduce other changes than shaders? My trade is pulsating, one month minus in energy, the other plus. I sell and buy some resources in a monthly trade. I read that other Performance Mods are changing something in trade, are you too?
Changes;
-Added missing particles from 3.0+ up to 3.4.
-Moved Darker Galaxy center and other Map tweaks to Stellaris Performance mod - Galaxy Tweaks instead from this.
-this mod now only handles Particles. Just like way the original.
For load order, it really doesnt matter unless you will use mods that enhances particles (as it counters what this mod do: reduces the particle to 1). Like for ex: Aesthetic Cinematic Gameplay or any mod that edits particles..
Anyway, Im in the process of updating "every" mod that I have. hopefully I can push some patches. (Even tho some doesnt needed as they just work fine.)
Grande Gonzalez: Im usually out but I do try to update all of my mods when it became outdated unless its not necessary.
Rogueone: Should be. I dont see any reason for it not to be.
jar jar binks: The Galaxy one does that.
