It expanded my mind the first time I saw it in action
Now my skull doesnt fit regular non expando zones anymore

Indeed, if you place a 1x1 zone in a room that's, say, 10x10, and the game isn't paused, it will then fill up the room. It doesn't do this by growing organically, but rather by expanding immediately to fill the entire room.

to elaborate why im so grateful, try imagining a 1k/1k map with 80 pawns, 3 of every crafting table, and 32 or 33 stockpiles i have to manually expand...EVERY...DAMN...TIME...I...DIG... in a mountainous region.
