The light is the "middle" was probably bent around from behind it or bent to the point of reflecting from the sides or front.

uhm... theres a mod that adds in an actual black hole... it seems to be dead though :( sad

a sky box like this should have the added effect of block damage on ships and one were they speed up to there dimise or can be sling shot around to get somewhere else at high speeds but alase that might break the game only we can dream.

It's a skybox, not an actual object. It replaces the texture of the sky.

does this actually destroy ships when you go near it?
