Thank you very much bro, you helped me a lot! While I was building in Sim, the Nomads took my gates and walls for themselves...
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 16. feb. kl. 20:40
That didn't seem to work for many people, including myself, and it skips steps.
Daemonslime 16. feb. kl. 15:43
how is this any different than saving your game with buildings at the edges of your town to increase town size naturally (base game mechanic)?.

Good information. Feels like every week there is some new little kink that is discovered in Kenshi.
LiterallyBeenVibing 1. sep. 2023 kl. 11:57
it turns out... it dosent fix the issue i was having, but its fixed when i have only a few doors, if you have more than like.... 4 gates they will kinda like..... de-exist and then enemies just walk through them and into my base, but this mod somehow fixed enemies not hitting walls for me. before they wouldent hit walls even really weak ones they would ONLY target gates, now they go after walls which i like, so thank you for that atleast!

Nice one. If it get's too big, you can edit this mod even further and see if that helps :cactusrum:
madguy 31. aug. 2023 kl. 3:40
I am making a mega base in the pits, you saved my life
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2023 kl. 22:49
Yeah it should, unless there is some other bug that is causing it. Make sure that the gates are within the town radius by pressing Shift + F12 and then it should work.
LiterallyBeenVibing 24. aug. 2023 kl. 15:11
does this fix enemies walking through closed gates as well?
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2023 kl. 23:45
I think it should increase the circle, but I'll have to check to make sure.

And nice, backpack crafting is a pretty simple mod but it's one of those things that was an obvious add to the game 😎
ZyNfrix 21. feb. 2023 kl. 14:35
I tried it and I think its working. I did an import just in case. Does it actually change the visible white circle around you base? I checked mine by using shift+F12 and the circle looks the same but no one is walking through my walls anymore so idk haha.

I also just realized you made the backpack crafting mod  I have been using that for a while, its awesome!
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. 2023 kl. 0:30
Let me know if it works! There is a chance you might need an import though I'm not sure.
ZyNfrix 19. feb. 2023 kl. 16:53
I havent tried this mod yet, but you sir are a legend for making this and updating it right when i had the issue pop up. :steamhappy:

And also, "Your Outpost" is indeed the name of your bases. If you are near or within the base area, and select the statue with the SHIFT + F12 menu, it should pick up the statue of the outpost you are currently in.

If you go far enough from the statue, you can place multiples of these statues. I think this might make the mod redundant since you don't need this mod if you place numerous bases one next to the other, but this mod right now should make your bases at least 4 times as large as vanilla. This means that one statue should be enough for very large bases. I'm not sure if there is a downside to having a base too large. Vanilla towns should act like enclaves inside the player town if the player town overtakes them. This might be different depending on town and so on, but in my experience a larger circle should encapsulate a smaller one, rather than the other way around.

Hello everyone, I'm back. I was unsubbed from all my mods and didn't realize this, and I was also away for a long time.

@Ronchi: I think the circle might be so big that you need to go pretty far to find it.

@All: I think for anyone having issues, there was perhaps a change in the game/editor that changed this mod a little. It might have made the circle be the same size again. I checked it out and it should work properly now. If there are issues I'll be here to check them out.

EVERYONE NEEDS THIS MOD god i cant believe this was the issue the whole time....
Sigmabrus 16. juli 2022 kl. 6:46
fixed it, cheers man :)
Ronchi 26. feb. 2021 kl. 15:52
Hi there, I can't see a white circle around my statue. Am I doing something wrong ?
Sepone 1. juni 2019 kl. 17:41
Oh, by the way, since all the practice I now have with placing the statue I can be more specific than Valinra:

1. Press Shift+F12 to open the game editor.
2. Left-click Town Placement at the upper left of the menu.
3. Left-click Your Outpost's Name in the menu that appeared to the left (if you didn't change it, it is called "Your Outpost" and you'll find it at the very end of the list).
4. The statue is now attached to your mouse cursor and can be placed with a left-click.

[Just in case: The first time I replaced a statue the white circle around it didn't change its position with it. I restarted the game and the circle had moved to the right place. Strangely, from then on the circle always moved right away when placing a statue.]

Hallo Thoros,
to increase the size of bases is a great idea, unfortunately your mod isn't working for me. The white circle around the statue doesn't change at all. I put your mod at the top of my mod list and did import and I tried it at the bottom of the list with a new import, but the size of the circle never changed.
Any ideas? I would appreciate your help, a bigger base area would really be nice.
Templar Fry 26. maj 2019 kl. 22:43
You will have to go down to where it says the generic "Player outpost" or whatever is says in the town placement tab that will be on the top with the scroll down on the left. You will see the other towns and outposts but look for one that is linked to the player faction. I shouldn't have to say this but please save before doing so as I apologize for not being more specific.
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2019 kl. 6:08
I think you should be able to click it and move it.

If not, you will have to remember the town name, then delete the town marker, select it from the list on the left, and place it down in the area of your choosing!
slpc04 24. maj 2019 kl. 4:37
Ty Thoros, I'll test soon! Er, how do you move the other towns away further? I shift f12 and then I see the statue. Do I right click to move or? Ty for your work!
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2019 kl. 2:55
Ok, I increased the size. Let me know if it works. If it doesn't, you'll have to try moving the other towns further away.

Hope it helps!
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2019 kl. 2:50
OK I´ll increase the base size a little, see if that helps :)
slpc04 23. maj 2019 kl. 19:35
Hi Thoros, plse make a bigger base area for me! Beaky things are still glitching when patrolling around my base, guess my base is too big! The stupid thing path near my wall then suddenly hopped up the wall and walk down my base ramp and then start attacking my base ppl, while the rest of the beak things squad remained outside of the wall! The pathing of the patrol/wildlife/npcs seemed really glitchy making walls kinda a hassle to babysit! Tyty for your hard work.
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2019 kl. 7:12
Ah yes, that's a bug I've been seeing people have. This MIGHT fix it to some extent, if the borders of the other town are pushed back enough, but best bet is to either

Move the walls away from the other town, or

press shift+f12, go into the town list, and you'll see a statue in the center of the other town. Move it away from yours so that it still encompasses the other town fully, but that it's diameter doesn't interfere with your walls.

The second idea might be best if you want to keep your base as is, and it does work as long as you can move the town statue far enough from your town.

Let me know how it goes!
slpc04 23. maj 2019 kl. 6:32
Ty Thoros for the quick reply. Its true I built the walls on uneven ground although I did make my char run round the base wall once to see if he could and he could so I don't know. I made a an import once though because some of my walls glitched saying they belong to another town (settled nomads) and I had to do an import. It fixed with the import.
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2019 kl. 3:36
Maybe this mod doesn't expand the base area enough.

There can also be other issues of course, like the walls having actual holes in them if they are on uneven ground. I'll try expanding the area of the base asap so you can test whether that helps or not.
slpc04 23. maj 2019 kl. 3:16
Hi there, did some testing, the patrols/bandits/etc still glitch path near my base and at time spawn into my base! So i don't know what is happening. So I guess my base is still not big enough? I built near the swamps in shem under the big huge tree.
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2019 kl. 14:15
Good stuff, hope it helps! :)
slpc04 17. maj 2019 kl. 10:52
Oh thank God! I was going nuts always having to open my gate for them to get out or in! Thank you so much for this mod. Im gonna now go build again (new game) and test out this mod! Ty again!
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2019 kl. 10:34
Yes, according to other players this fixes that exact problem. With this mod, the walls should actually mean something. If your base is still too big after installing this mod, just let me know and I'll expand the area for you.
slpc04 17. maj 2019 kl. 10:32
My base in okran valley normally is patrolled by the holy nation paladin. Sometimes they will hug my wall and their patrol formation will break off some of them will be in my base then they will try to break my gate down to get out if my gate is closed. Will this fix that problem?
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. 2019 kl. 4:59
Awesome to hear, I haven't personally tested this out at all so it's great to hear feedback!
pedrotfs 25. jan. 2019 kl. 4:32
came here because of a different issue, made an outpost too big and was having unpowered things and automated jobs would not work properly. this fixed it like a charm!
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2019 kl. 9:52
I can't remember exactly how much larger it makes our base, but it should be a substantial growth.

I think you need to import.
Skay24 11. jan. 2019 kl. 6:55
Work on save game?, and how bigger can i build?
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 19. okt. 2018 kl. 12:33
If you mean what did I edit specifically, I changed the circumference of the "Your Outpost" in the "Towns" list.

This is a possible fix to walls being bugged, but it is possible it won't change anything.
Ampitexture 19. okt. 2018 kl. 12:18
What exactly was changed out of curiosity?
