The reason this gun is a freaking .44 Taurus on here is because the guy who made the model used it as a reference when making the freaking gun. If ONE more person tells me it isn't what it was modeled after I'm taking this off the workshop.

Well I'm terribly sorry, but I'm not going to change the damage for a single person, or even a few people, if you'd like to use this in a server or if it's that big of a deal, install the GMAD Extractor and edit the values by hand. I won't care as long as it's not distributed.

i have shot a .44 but it wasnt a taurus, it was a smith and wesson snub nose, and its when i shoot headshots at zombies and combines is when it concerns me.

You actually can't have different damages for range, not with HL2's bullet engine at least, I assure you the damage is right where it needs to be, the accuracy is poor, because of it's design. Have you acutally ever shot one of these? I don't know, but I have, and they are terribly inaccurate, and have just enough power to stop someone at close range, I don't know how you're testing the damage, but I set it up to be one-shot-one-kill when getting a headshot on another player.

i realize ballistics would be different if its barrel was as long as the hl2 357 but the damage from close range would far out do that of the 357, just increase this guns close range damge and decrease its long range

For the last time guys, this is NOT my model, I did not create it, the designer of this model created this pistol in the likeness of some version of the .44 Taurus, you must realize sights are interchangable and such, so that is not a solid reference. The creator of the model used a .44 for a reference, please don't try and argue that it isn't, I didn't take this model from Taurus without it having a name and decided for myself what it was. And if you're saying the damage is lower, the caliber DOES NOT the only factor in damage, with this being a shortened weapon, the damage will NOT BE the same as a freaking .357 Magnum, you must realize this.

You don't say? This gun is obviously a snub nosed revlover, and Taurus' snub nosed .38 has a shorted barrel than the .44 in the picture.

Don't mean to be a smartass but there's plenty of .38s that aren't snub nosed

I'm doing another project (Not Gmod Based) at the moment but, when that's done I'm planning on making a weapons base and releasing a pistol pack with it.

im using it on sandbox, as a side note it doesnt have very high penetration :D so its great on any physics map! you did a great job on the weapon. will you be making more weapons in the future?

Bishop: I matched the damage as close as I could to the .357 if I remember correctly. Which is actually a more powerful weapon than this, in sandbox mode at least. There is a gamemode function that controls how the damage is multiplied. If you are on another gamemode it could be different.
