The only problem with this is that i think the head hitbox is still there, so you can kill it without hitting it

So, the game doesn't allow special textures on some special infected, for exemple my baby boomer mod have glowing for the gore and it causes consistency error, it requires sv_consistency 0 even on local solo, so maybe one of others mod you have got this issue ?

Multiple possibility here :

You have a mod installed but that doesn't have a addon text in the vpk so it's not listed in your mods but still active, check your addon folder in l4d2/l4d2/addon.

You are playing on a map that already have special infecteds

You are playing on moded server that doesn't allow infecteds

Try to disable every mods except the spitter or your jockey and see if this happens again

Some mods are conflicting but it's just most of the time nothing important.

Try sv_consistency 0 before hosting , or ask your friend to write it before you join.

when i try to install a jockey mod with the spitter installed on any mode or map it will say a typical error message you might get when 2 models are conflicting which would be something about either the jockey or spitter causing errors

when i try to uninstall the spitter and go into any game it will say that the spitter model is conflicting which makes no sense because i would then have no mods on the spitter or jockey

also note that none of my addons were highlighted red and any attempts i made to disable or uninstall most to all of them had no effect

Yea its better to say what the errors are doing to your game other than saying "i have errors in my game plz fix it".
