In a serious firefight three seconds to pull out a melee weapon could cost you your life. For this I recommend TFA's kick mod.
You don't need a mod to do that, just push E on them.
The only thing I can think of right now is you trying the "Use Defaults" button in options to reset every key, and if that won't work, you could try something as crazy as the "unbindall" command in console. Keep in mind that it will remove EVERY keybind in the game, so you will need to reset it to its defaults again in options if you do that (plus add every custom binding you used before as those get removed as well).
i looked online and couldnt find any useful solutions to this.
Options such as what weapon to use, a custom sound as you whip it out from your holster and maybe add custom weapon compatibility in as well. Maybe if I feel like it I'll do just that for my next little contribution.

Well looking at this, the script failed to remember the active weapon you carry when pressing the key (so that it can switch back to it after throwing a frag). Since this is something that is not happening on my end probably means that you're either using a swep that doesn't work with it or, like I said in my previous comment, an addon is breaking it. The only suggestion I can really give you is to try to disable some or all addons except this one and see if it solves the problem. That includes legacy addons from the addon folder in garrysmod.
And if you happen to find out whatever's causing it, please let me know. Even if it's something unsolvable, at least I can edit the description informing people about it.
