Skins have one or several .vtf and .vmf, which are texture files. One uses VTFEdit to open and extract them as TGA, at which point they can make a custom skin. I've hexed very few skins so I don't fully know the process, but it involves creating a folder with a 6 letter name that contains the "model.mdl", which has to be edited with a hex editor to switch the previous name of the model to the name of the containing folder (the 6 letter name).
The .vmf then must be edited (it's like a text file) to change the name of the skin it "searches for". It's a bit confusing to explain really.
But all of these are just custom skins, no new models were created.

Hey Kugawattan, love the addon. Very noice. I do have a question however..
How do you make things like this? How do you make playermodels/ragdolls of Ninjineer, Handsome Rogue and Medizard?

I know you didn't make Ninjineer and Handsome Rogue but you know what I mean? Do you make them in blender, recolour them in gmod or sfm, how you do it? :spycon:

I have a bug relating to ragdolls like this one: when I spawn them, the game forces them in reference pose and turns them into props. How do I fix this problem?
