Aleksandra C. It's working fine. Sounds more like a key binding issue on your client than anything else.

Try this in console: bind "e" "+use";

Give it another go. If you're still having trouble after that then re-read the instructions and follow them to the letter. The pitfall most people hit is not being in competitive mode prior to starting the map (first paragraph). Let me know if you're still having problems.
