♥♥♥♥ this was the most useful mod on the workshop

10/10 broken mod. Thrusters just it there and do nothing.

The thruster itself is heavier but the thrust to weight ratio of an entire ship will still be increased a lot by using the x10 or x50 thrusters. It's one of those things that can be a bit unintuitive but works when you do the math.

oh i see i never noticed you had them on there, yes i have most of the whole series but could never find these ones, but because its 50x doesnt that mean its also 50x heavier?

I think what you're describing is the limitations of hydrogen that have always been there. Though you might find a batteries would work better than using hydrogen engines to power the ship. I'm guessing at what kind of small mining ship it is though so I may be wrong.

There already is a atmospheric thruster mod (and an Ion one for space), I do encourage you to look at the collection since you might find other things you would like in there but if you don't want to here's the link: Powerful Atmospheric Thrusters

@Jtmzac i agree it does that, but the hydrogen engines also consume a lot of the hydrogen from the tanks. i always use the x50 because better but i dont want to use 3 or 4 tanks just to power a small mining ship. unless you have any ideas that could help me make one with the smallest amount of fuel being used, do you mind making a x50 atmospheric thruster mod too?

The consumption rate should be exactly x10 or x50 the normal version of the thruster so you will want to use the bigger tanks and o2/h2 generators in the powerful tanks and gas generators mod that's part of the series.

this mod is great, but the consumtion rate is too high, by the time its full it depletes in minutes. i want to make a small welding/mining ship but it uses too much fuel.

That would be great! Standard component requirements, standard fuel consumption with 10x and 50x thrust power.

@Nox I can make that for you but do you want it to use the standard components too? While it doesn't matter in terms of building it if you're playing creative, it does change the weight by a lot.

Also just so you know, changing things like thrust and flame color are simple edits of text files so if you ever need very specific values for stuff its pretty easy to do.

OK, thanks for your reply :) I already have the tanks, hehe. Would you consider making a normal fuel consumption version of this mod? The reason im asking is because i cant seem to find a mod that has 10x and 50x whithout adding some crazy color to the thruster flame. Further more i haven't been able to find a mod that has 50x, either it's 16x or 100x.

@Nox They use more fuel/power. You'll probably want the powerful tanks for the hydrogen thrusters otherwise you won't get the full power from them since the flow rate from tanks has a cap that prevents them from draining too fast and will restrict the maximum thrust.

Do the thrusters also consume more fuel? Or are they just stronger?
