I have seen some beautiful ships on the workshop, and my gosh this is a looker. I bet it performs well for its size. But before I try it, I really have one of the MOST important questions about it for this game due to the performance it is programmed as......Block Count?

The ships of this pack require an update to 2.4.2 and up. They feel dated, a lot.

will these ships be updated to 2.0, I miss them

How do you even create these shapes ?
Are they just tiny blocks placed at small intervals ?

Usually draw first so for eg. that segmented hull it has was drawn as an idea then translate that to avorion finishing the base hull first then eventually getting to the finer details and so on this Bismarck was the first of these ships all the other ships followed so you can see a steady progression of design in the faction by progression i mean the way the segmented hull went away and slow addition of finer detail and for some of the other ships the underside was different fair few changes on the ships to many to list

This is so incredible. I would love to see you work on this. Whats your process like? Do you draw them and then use avorion builder to flesh out that design? Do you start with a giant shape and then refine it? I want to build things of this magnitude.

Ye i think i know why think my resurgent also had that problem

after playing with this ship for a while, fighter docking can be very annoying. but i think that is more how fighters interacts when getting near ships causing them to teleport randomly. so there were times it took like 3 minutes for the last fighter to dock.

Main reason i dont build with other blocks is because i think ogonite just looks best imo and trinium is too shiny even with the setting off

also i dont really like building small ships i have built some but never liked how they turned out and just scraped them

i myself never really use any designs untill i get to trinium or xanion but i do get it heaps of people wanna use workshop ships very early on i may tho give it a shot and try build some stuff for early game

for future builds you might consider using a block you normally wouldnt, like say Iron Hull as its highly abundant and not used once your building ships of this scale, but leave it up to the players downloading it to put what they need into it that way in build mode they just search for any iron hull blocks and everything else goes invis

allowing them to convert the iron hull chunks into shields, inertia dampeners, directional thrusters, etc as they feel the ship might need

but all in all this is a beautiful ship that i would love to use if i still played Avorion religiously ;D

a very beautiful ships, does require a bit of work to make it a sound playing ship. like switch out the large internal engines (they seem to be not worth their weight for thrust) and some thrusters for various utility blocks (cargo, assembly, more generators and shields). but all in all well worth the effort to play with this wonderful look ship.

Also there are some people that build ships with the best possible stats which is not easy to do i just like building nice looking ship with decent stats

Could be because the other blocks required like production blocks eat up resources

this is not to crit but why does every ship on avorion cost so much but has so little shield or hull i dont understand /;
