You don't really, but thankfully the stitching ability lasts you forever. You can run out of bandages and hemostats though, which are quicker and heal you more. You see the balance? Makes sense to me, no cap
So what if the hand contorts; it works really well, and still looks very impressive. I never venture far without the need to patch myself up, and I much prefer not dying when I can save myself.
Definitely a favourite.
