Sorry for late reply,i have no idea how to change specific crosshairs,actually this crosshair is just a image overlay on the screen,generally speaking it should work when you use melee aswell

Nope that's all you gotta do,the eotech crosshair should appear right from the start
check if it is properly enabled at the addons screen (also keep in mind that it may not work in some multiplayer servers)

I typed crosshair 0 in the console, but instead of the custom crosshair showing up the crosshair flat out disappears. Are there any extra steps I need to take?
