This is super, I really liked it

Wasn't expecting a turn-based battle, super fun last level on my Challenge Road!~

Amazing concept and brilliant execution, turn based RPG battles ain't my cup of tea though which is unfortunate.

Glad this was in the end of a challenge road, just for me to win on the same turn hat kid died only leading for me to spawn at the top of the map softlocked. Thanks for wasting my last hour and a half.

weird you have to hit, I forget which however. think it's the hat ability wheel, so right click on mouse and some button on controller

How do you target Hat Kid with healing spells? I can't move the cursor.

This is AMAZING. I really want to see more turn based combat, but unfortunately, this was the only mod I could find. Now I wish I could play a full version of Hat in Time as an RPG, with adding bosses as party members when you defeat them, as well as some versions of regular enemies, like a crow, as party members.

This reminds me of Final Fantasy X, that is awesome!!

Was unaware of the rpg stuff and was suprised. Bit anti-climactic tho. he kinda just died, without me hitting him. Overall good stuff!

It's a nice tech demo. I can imagine the potential it could have for something more advanced if expanded. Nice job.

@tamisha16 it crashes because you have asset replacement mods, AR mods ALWAYS crash the game.

Expectations were certainly subverted here. XD

@tarnisha16 check how many mods you have installed, consider unistalling mods. I recommend keeping below 20-35 mods.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but everytime I use a thunder impact it crashes my game.

Personally, I feel if you tell others that its an turn-based RPG, it would gather attention for the idea alone. I was expecting some platforming and storyline, and was surprised to see an RPG battle. Thankfully, I quite enjoy that kind of thing.

@Ray Glad you enjoyed, I do like making weird crazy thing. Frankly, sometimes I worry that it's too different and that people won't like it ahah

I liked this for the novelty, hopefully it can be much more someday!

@Mr. Mega funny you say that, cause this rpg stuff was recycled from one of my old mods that was supposed to be a big RPG adventure. I didn't have the knowledge at the time to make it all work. It was also a LOT of work. I'm happy you enjoyed!

Also was kind of difficult but I found a good strategy and beat the boss without any trouble. Neither kid got below 5 health for me.

Dude, that was SICK. I loved the turned based combat theme here, I'd like to see someone make an open world mod with this kind of combat. Best mod I've downloaded.

That was neat! Good job with this.
When I played: Bow Kid was in dire straits as soon as the bad guy launched his super, and after taht all I was doing was trying to play catchup with healing. Eventually the bad guy took her out, but Hat Kid soloed the rest of the boss battle and won!

I could hear the alpha bookstore theme in the music.
Nice mod in overall, and kinda unique I guess
