What? Um, last I checked, THIS mod, the one the page you are currently looking at (assuming you are reading this yourself) is for, is ironman-compatible.

Hah! So as I occasionally do, I was looking for other graphics mods that might adjust some of the still-lacking weapons to better visuals. Aaand I came upon the conversation the LAST time we discussed this. Which I'd forgotten about. So I feel a bit sheepish, but fact remains: that was a while ago. Any progress? :)

Any chance of getting something for Null Void Beams/Matter Disintegrators? They stand out like a sore thumb compared to the glorious doombeams of this mod. :(

Hi Chickenhunt! I am currently working on a bigger overhaul which fits my personal taste. I used some of your assets, because i really like your work a lot. But your mod wouldn't be compatible in the current state with the project without adjustments. So i cant simply use your mod in combination with my overhaul project.

Therefore i reworked some of your work to fit into my overhaul. Still i wouldn't feel good about releasing this project in the future without your permission to use your assets since i built part of it upon your work in the first place. So i wanted to ask if you would be fine with me releasing a mod in the future with (partly reworked) assets of your mod? In case i use any assets of yours i would mention your mod in the description of course! Please let me know if that's ok :)

@Ajey First create a mod in the launcher (search youtube for help). Then edit lasers.txt in \Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod\alt\gfx\projectiles. And change the four numbers after "color =" for each laser type. Tip: use an online tool to make your color code. Good luck :)

Hi Chickenhunt! I really like your mods, but i would like to change the color of some lasers for my personal taste. Do you know how to change colors of projectiles - i.e. in which file can i add values or which files do i have to edit with a graphic editing program? :) thx if u can help me out!

@BarbarianJoe21 Try testing with normal lasers and see if they work. Pd's do have the "travel" effect but way faster, put the game in slow motion to clearly see the effects with pd"s.

First troubleshooting step is always to disable everything else and see if the problem persists with only this mod installed. If it does, it's an issue with this mod, if it doesn't, it's a conflict with some other mod. That at least tells you where to start looking for the culprit.

I did a little testing, and it only seems to be the first tier PD that has the issue so far. I have a Bunch of mods

@BarbarianJoe21 Do you have any other mods enabled besides the patches and their respective mods? If NOT and the problem still percists; What laser weapon is firing wich is causing the problem? Is it one of the added ones by one of the mods?

I have this mod and it's add-on patches enabled, but it no longer seems to do anything, the lasers just have vanilla graphics

Hmm anyone have trouble with this mod? I just started a new game and in my very first combat the game crashed right as the laser fired.

I am totally on board with all of these things. Hmm. Would it be possible to have an arc-like dimmer aura around the travel-laser beams for the null void? That'd make them stand out more.

Its weird because the descr for disruptors says: "Disruptors fire high-energy bolts". And then they dont. They make slightly visible bands that slowly move back towards the firing ship, just like the null void beam and energy syphon. Its like they gave up at the gfx department, lol.

So for disruptors I was thinking an effect more like the descr and then the hit effect wil be like the actual thumbnail picture. As well as changing the null void beam to a travel-laser effect and the energy syphon to be an improved more visible energy sucking like effect.

Hmm. Would it be possible to have something akin to the laser/lance flight-time effect with an arc emitter graphic? Could be an interesting look to experiment with.

the arc emitter effect looks great as base for disruptors and the null void beam...keep the original color codes and everything looks just great...i just would make them a bit smaller - as for the void beam... u will have to change the whale weapon graphics for that.. they use the same texture ;) i really love this mod! great work!

Alternately, with some thought, something based on the Arc Emitter effect, greened up to match the original color and either left as-is then or tweaked further? Just spitballing here; almost anything is better than the Aggressive Haze Attack of the stock version.

Hmm. That's a good question, and one that's sort of hard to answer without an appreciation for what is and isn't possible. Perhaps a halo or fuzz effect around the beam as an homage to the original design so people realize what they're looking at?

Is there any chance of this (or a related mod) doing anything with the siphon/matter disintegrator/null void beam effect? It's always looked dull, but it really stands out in a poor light when compared to this and Improved Projectiles. Space war should look more awesome than that!
