If it doesn't work, manually install it via the dropbox link, or even, try to verify game caches. Otherwise, i'd recommend other fire mods, like mmod fire, etc.

Nope! IT replaces map env_fire, but VFire replaces newly started env_fires, meaning its compatiable.

this has permanently fucked up the removal/disintegration effect, even when i uninstall and reinstall garry's mod without the addon subscribed

Then only the map env_fire will be replaced with this, while any new fires started like igniting a npc will be vfire.

I think the new gmod update broke this addon, if there is anyway of you fixing this, please do so because I cannot play this game with this great addon.

Yeah, won't show up most of the time since vfire will override, but will appear on maps with preset env_fire already.

Have you tried verifying the game cache? If no replacers from across the workshop doesn’t work then something might be wrong with the files.

No problems! If you or anyone seems to have trouble using this standard fire replacer, I do recommend this one which also changes up explosions, or the VFIRE addon:

You can turn on both vFire and this. Certain addons add their own fires which use the default fire visuals (such as GBombs 5, which has a propane canister that leaves a non-vFire flame in the center, and wildfire vials which bring a green-tinted GB5 fire entity, allowing me to have both of these look par to the course with vFire).

Have you tried verifying cache, and making sure you don't have a addon that overrides this one? Vfire is different, so it's compatible, but you may have another particle pack that could've disabled this one.

Just Use Vfire . . . IIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFF You Have A Good Pc. Be Cause Vfire Lags On My Preitty Beffy Coputer. So Use This If You want Better Quality Fire On Potatos.
