It works fine in my game, though I had to stop using it because I had a room full of Noku mushrooms and there's no way to 'exclude' a room from what I can tell.

I could see this being realistic, though I'm too lazy (nor do I give a shit, minmaxing is a pain) if the power cost is balanced. I always thought it was weird and annoying that the only lights in Rimworld were floor lamps, as I'm used to lights being embedded into the ceiling. I've tried to find mods that capture the ceiling light feeling well but nothing really feels...natural to me. This looks like it provides the nice, consistent, even lighting you would expect from typical fluorescent lighting. I guess the piece that you place could be seen as a sort of controller? That distributes the power through the ceiling to the lights placed throughout. Maybe redesigning the graphics to be a fuse box of sorts would work better idunno.

Those are my thoughts, anyway.

And why not make a wireless power mod, and a free power mod, and a free base building robot so you don't need to make a base, and free food dispensers - and then you can sit there and do nothing because you've modded every aspect of the game into being automatic.

NO THANKS - YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED TO MAKE IT FIT IN REALISTICALLY, IT MAKES NO SENSE.

maybe with coloured lights research you can change the lighting settings (colour, brightness)

Next update I might change it to W per Tile and give a discount for undefined rooms (hallways). I would place the light in the 'center' of the room but that would be too CPU costly for those more creative. But I do know of a lovely trick to emulate it, but it requires more cost to RAM, which I'm sure everyone can afford a few dozen MB.

Very costly on energy, but it is a fair price to not having to bother about lighting every room individually. I like it!
