Now that the game is done being updated, will you be coming back to update the mod so we can play through the map again?

If it's a concern as far as commissioning goes, I don't mind pitching in.

Has anyone made a GOT map thats smaller - love the GOT mods but christ I don't play huge maps...

For some reason this map keeps crashing on me.

@Soccy Doogles So, in the TV series, by the time Daenerys lands at Dragonstone Stannis is le dead. The only point in time at which they occupy the same continent is when Daenerys is a child, before being rushed off to Essos to avoid Robert Murderface Baratheon. So not having them on the same map at the same time checks out. :D

Why wouldn't you make Danny spawn somewhere in Essos? It sucks that we cant have her and the one true king in the same game. Danny and Drogo should have Essos spawns on this map

I was so thrilled to see this mod, but couldn't ever be more disappointed. It's clear characters have been put up by some lousy photoshop cut and paste. Map making as Daenerys starting in Mereen with mountains that span 2/3 fields wide, not to mention length. Therefor my cities already failed to provide enough food even with granary to support a 3 population city. Figured I'd give one shot to make a dragon. Most special units look like a regular one. Guess what pops out as dragon? A freaking helicopter. The unit stats and specials have not been thought out thouroughly so some are way disappointing in strength, while others are insanely overpowered.
I do not recommend anyone to play this mod. Aside from map building which hasn't been considered well, there's even less effort put into the "art" with mostly blurred images or character image simply smushed together to look warped. Most disappointing mod I've ever seen :(

After a game update the maps appear twice.
One is the vanilla version and the other is for the expansion you are using (Rise&Fall or Gathering Storm).

I'll need to change the names to be able to know which one is each.

I downloaded this mod and now I have four maps to choose from:

1. ASOIAF Today Map
2. ASOIAF Today Map
3. ASOIAF Westeros Map
4. ASOIAF Westeros Map

Why are there two of similar kind and what's the difference?

Essos it is quite empty. The only start positions are Daenerys, the Dothraki and "Aegon VI".
But in the Ancient World Map there is also Valyria, Rhoyne, Sarnor and the Ghis Empire.

About the starting locations. If you choose the World Map, Daenerys will start in Meereen, but I in the westeros map she will start at Dragonstone (same location as Stannis).

What is the best combination of leaders to get the correct start locations?

One question about the random start locations because are they all in westeros? Because i feel like ESSOS is a bit bland atm was gonna put in a standard leader who could act as a slavers bay/volantis or bravos faction.

This mod i prefer because there's more factions.

The other GoT mod has literal dragons instead of helicopters but this mod is STILL better. I love it so much. Keep it up joto92!

Sorry man, I just start modding in Civ VI as a hobby and I don’t how much experience. But I wanted to do the universes that I love.

I’m just one person and I don’t have much free time to mod. Besides my modding skills are limited (I have no idea how to create new models, wonders, etc.) for these reason I want to find help from expert modders.

About the map of Westeros and Essos, you are right I need to add more resources to Essos lands. I’ve created this map using the current World Editor that only let you edit one cell at a time. So with a map of 128x90 the total is 11,520 cells, that’s a lot of work…

It would be awesome if you could make a ruleset to go along with the mod to the tech tree at a certain point (probably somewhere in the medieval era?), and thanks for all your hard work!

but when i startet the aktual map i don´t have the city staates... like astapor or yunky or lazaren.. when i started as dany... do i have to think about special?

Thank you. I totally forgot about the tribal village, when I was doing the maps I thought that they would be randomly generated like barbarians or ruins. Now both maps have tribal villages.

Just two other things : there is no tribal villages (solo and multiplayers) and it's hard to recognize the House of Lannister and the House of Baratheon (Cercei or Joffrey) on the map because the have the same color. Can you do something ?

Hi ! I tried your Westeros map in solo : really beautifull and realistic, real continents and lands of Westeros. It's perfect ! Great job.
But... I tried the same in multiplayer map, still Westeros. Continents are Europ, America, the city states are Kaboul or Hattusa for example, it was not the TSL in Westeros. What a dissapointment. Can you fix it, please ? Thanks a lot.

I just upload a new map in this same mod. This map has half size of the other.

Yes, that’s a good idea. I will do another map with the same height but half of the width. It will have Westeros and some coast of Essos so I can fit some city-states.
I’ll upload the new map in this mod but it may take some days.

Can you make a smaller map that is just westeros so that my cumputer can handle it? I love what your doing here though. i came looking for sothing like this just a few weeks ago so thanks. Im a huge fan of the show and the books!
