have you opened "load world" and clicked on "workshop"? If not not do that and click on "Brig Ship Thingy Water Mod" and click on copy and load. Hope i could help.

The mod I installed, and the vehicle is not in the savegame or in the copies, nor in the mod. PS I do not understand English so do not be angry if something is not clear!

Oh, and important important note, since you mentioned ascending to the heavens on a golden throne of clang,

Locking catch blocks, never ever edit a design while any locking catch blocks on it are locked!

That one simple rule has removed like 80% of my hardcore physics glitches.

It's really worth getting past the dozen or so failures (I personally lost count of mine) in order to eventually get things that work. I mean, look at my most recent WIP creation as an example:

Yes, that's a wind powered gantry crane for my soon to be drydock. Don't let yourself get intimidated, one success is built on a hundred failures. I think I read that in a loading screen somewhere.

(1/2) The gears do take a bit of learning to get used to, but once you get the hang of them it's hard to go back.

You also don't need anything too fancy. A one stage reduction gear and a 90 degree union is plenty.

Here's an example from my own experimentations:
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1517640687

I used a rope belt to connect the helm to an axel that runs along just below the deck, that connects to the gear between the two big ones on the stern, it's also a far smaller gear than the two on the rear so it doubles as a reduction gear. The planks on top are just direction indicators, and that second helm is for giving it a kick if it ever jams and for adjusting rudder trim while I'm in the aft reeling in the nets.

I've been playing around with that too but i think i'm actually to incompetent for that ^^

@ Dr_Eggman I have found moderate sucsess with the gears mod

I'm experimenting with that sort of stearing but haven't found a solution that wouldn't take the entire back section of the ship or make it glitch out and launch it into outer space

Is there a way to add a helm to the ship that turn both left and right?
Admiral Rufus K. Boom Nadler  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. 2018 kl. 10:06
yes it is absolutly beautiful how many ships have been build in the last few days. I don't think the concept of rounded timber will prove to practical. but there absolutly should be different angles to the diagonal timbers making smoothe curves more feasible

Compliments. The ME fleet, which was never supposed to exist, is growing and growing. And: we.need.curved.timber.and.planks!

Sorry if it seems like a noob question... but you can build actuall moving ships in this game?
Admiral Rufus K. Boom Nadler  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2018 kl. 1:00
@Spockthebuilder i tried to smooth out the blockyness with diagonal blocks but it either makes the ship too heavy or compromises my ability to fill out the keel with with hollow boxes so sadly it isn't impossible just very impracticle at this size.

And as always thanks for the positive feedback ^^
Admiral Rufus K. Boom Nadler  [ophavsmand] 16. sep. 2018 kl. 23:41
Yeah it's more of a corvette or light frigate with too few guns :D I just named it brig because of it's similar size to the actual brigantine i've build
Limmin 16. sep. 2018 kl. 16:02
Looks so beautiful...
A three-masted brig?
Sir Konrad 16. sep. 2018 kl. 15:50
Much better than anything I could make. Bravo.

Also thanks very much sabotaaage i always appreciate hearing things like that. But i also think that the imperial galleon gives it a run for its money ^^
Admiral Rufus K. Boom Nadler  [ophavsmand] 16. sep. 2018 kl. 6:15
Admial spire it shows up in your workshop worlds, having it per blueprint isn't very cpu friendly :D
Sabotaaage 16. sep. 2018 kl. 1:23
this has blown all the other boats out of the water
Admiral Spire 15. sep. 2018 kl. 14:55
soooo...I like the ship, but is it supposed to show up in your blueprints? Or somewhere else? I cant seem to find it and id like to use it in a RP world im making
Spock The Builder 15. sep. 2018 kl. 11:59
I feel like going in and adding diagonal blocks all over to make it looks less blocky
artemyevrus 15. sep. 2018 kl. 11:37
That kind of ships like they must be.
