I've just pushed the latest update made completely by kodewdle ! He cleaned up the code, fixed some major errors and added new colour palettes. Big shout out to him! You can check the change notes here .

an update will be coming soon with the texture error issue addressed, also there will be a way to switch track colors in the lua file (from the default of blue->pink->red, to rainbow, or a few other options), as well as a way to more easily turn off the intensity blur effect (also at the top of the lua file).

i encountered the texture error and knowing lua quite well, i was more than happy to help sashaCZ get this error resolved!

@Sarrix45 Thanks for pointing that out! I must've accidentally deleted the x256 texture while deleting unnecessary files. I've just updated the skin to include the texture, let me know if it works now.

@sashaCZ it's just missing only this ring texture called circlering256.png

@Sarrix45 It would be great if you shared on how to fix this, I would be able to update the skin so there would be nobody with this issue in the future.

@sashaCZ Don't worry it's just the rings won't load this the reason of the error and can be fixed.

To be completely honest, I'm not really sure of how to solve this issue as this is the first time I'm seeing it.

Does it only happen with this skin? I tried googling for similar issues and some people suggested unsubscribing from skins with this error, deleting the folder of this skin (if it doesn't remove itself simply by unsubscribing from it) and then subscribing to it again. Judging by your screenshot the skin folder that you need to remove should be located here: D:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Audiosurf 2/skins/76561198108335616

Alternatively, you could try verifying the integrity of game files of Audiosurf 2 by right clicking on Audiosurf 2 in your library, selecting the Local Files tab and clicking on Verify Integrity of Game Files.

If none of these steps work, you could try this method I found on the internet , though this method is experimental.

I saw, just after I posted this! I went onto the post that Dylan made months back since it's still the most recent update, and saw that in the comments. Once I get un-lazy and actually hook up my external drive, I'll re-download and give it a go. I've been playing Music Racer in AS's stead, since it works.

I doubt YouTube streaming will ever come back. There's still a way around this though. I remember testing it a few months ago and unless something has changed since then, this guide should help you [aiae.ovh]. Take note that YouTube searches through Audiosurf do NOT work with this work-around. You will need to copy video urls from your web browser and paste them directly into Audiosurf. Let me know if it works for you.

I'd love to see this in action! I have basically no music files, so since YouTube integration broke, AS2 is useless to me, but on the off chance it ever gets fixed, I'm 100% downloading this.

Love that colour palette. Did a similar thing for my own skin too, but the AS Simple template you used is definitely much more minimalist.

Just want to say that you made a good rework of original skin. But for me the grid textures looks bad because it's stretched and i'm made new texture that looks more square.
