Okay the sound is pretty bad, its not a suppressed ak. Also the mag looks weird on the sprite, it's angled too far forward.

I was looking for a mod that just changed the texture of the standard assault rifle to be a Kalash instead of a M-16. This is the closest I've found. Let's give it a try.

It's craftable at a machining table. It's cheaper than the vanilla assault rifle and can be built with less research, but it has unique drawbacks to consider.

For most of the players it is not important wether the AK-47 is an answer or counterpiece. They are just happy to use this mod. X4MHD, thank you for informing us but if we really want to know the facts, we search in Wikipedia, ask a historian or something similar. Syrchalis, thanks for the nice work!

That's why I said counterpiece and not "answer". If the M16 was developed as answer to the AK-47 and is it's counterpiece, then you can flip the statement and say the AK-47 is the counterpiece to the M16 - just not that it was developed as answer.
