Thanks for your tips to customize Sol System spawn! And thanks for this mod!

Cheers

I do not know why the servitors are listed twice, and frankly, I'm to lazy to test for why it is:P

So hunting down and changing those 4 lines to "spawn_enabled = no" should stop them from spawning.

Changing it to "yes" instead will make it so they can spawn, but is not forced. I believe this will also solve the problem, but I can't guarantee it.

In the "prescripted_countries" folder in the mod files (Found by clicking the three dots next to the mod in the Paradox game launcher) you will find all the files containing all of Paradox' empires.

In those files, every nation with the line "initializer = " sol_system_initializer" " in them spawns in the Sol system, and will force in into the game if needed.

As far as I can see/remember, there are 4 empires that spawns there. I forget their names, but they all have a line called "spawn_enabled = ", that if changed from "always" to "yes" or "no", should fix this problem. Here are their names and locations in the files:

In the " 01_top_countries_humans.txt "

-"Humans with humanoid ships", line 5
-"Blooms of Gaea, BOG", line 225

In the "99_syndaw_perscripet_countries.txt"

-"Roguie Servitor - Earth Custodianship", line 130
-"Roguie Servitor - Earth Custodianship", line 369

Could you actually post it here? I would also be interested how to make it so no humans spawn.

@Ze Kaiserreich

Sorry for not replying to your question for all this time. It seems Steam had stopped notifying me about messages here.

That is a somewhat amusing side effect of forcing empires to spawn, I suppose...

I believe the reason for this would be that another empire that spawns in the Sol system is forced into the game, (possibly even another UNE, but I hope not) and therefore forces multiple versions of the system to spawn.

I'm afraid there is not much I could to to fix this from my end, without turning forced spawn for all Sol-based factions. If you're still interested in fixing this issue from your end by turning off all the Sol nations, (I think there are 3 total) I can send you a list of the files and locations you can find them.

@ Ludgar

Sorry for the almost year long delay. I completely forgot to come back to you.

As long as you are not using any mods that add more localisations for Polish than the base game provides, then I can not imagine a reason why changing languages should affect the mod, I'm afraid, and I've not been able to reproduce the problem on my end, I'm afraid.
Ze Kaiserreich 19. sep. 2024 kl. 16:38
@Grimhat There are 2 Sol systems when ever I play the UNE. Is there a way to fix that?
Hrabia Cukrula 31. juli 2024 kl. 3:25
Polish
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2024 kl. 3:21
What language are you using?
Hrabia Cukrula 31. juli 2024 kl. 3:09
ok, thanks
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 30. juli 2024 kl. 16:47
Hmm. Can't think of a reason why that would be, and I've never tried another language in the game. I'm quite busy this week, but I'll see if I can figure something out over the week.
Hrabia Cukrula 30. juli 2024 kl. 12:09
For some strange reason, when I play on language different than english, some of the empires are missing. It only happens when the mod is turned on, and I have no idea what might be the cause.
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 28. juni 2024 kl. 8:38
For each empire not from the last expansion, yes. I'll update all my mods tomorrow.
guardian1368 27. juni 2024 kl. 20:50
does this still work
drweez 30. jan. 2024 kl. 17:20
set to 20 AI on a large map, two of the same premades spawned (the rock apes - though one had a desert pref trait while the other did not). Also, same map/game... a custom (ai generated) civ spawned. What am I doing wrong. Thanks in advance.
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2024 kl. 11:41
No. But Empires you create yourself can already be forced to spawn by changing it in the empire selection screen. (which I'm sure you are aware of)

But I'm also sure you've tried this already, but have seen that only a few of your custom nations spawn, even when "forced" is selected. This often happens because multiple custom nations might have the same unique origins, or more likely, have the same starting starting system.

Note that even "random" starting systems such as "Random Binary I" counts as a unique starting system, and will stop multiple empires with the same "random" name from being spawned in the same game.
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2024 kl. 11:40
This means you need to make sure that each empire you want to spawn needs to have a unique version of the "random" system selected, with the one exception being the starting system named purely "Random".

This is at least the only solution I've found for spawning all custom empires, but even then the game can be a real dick about it, and still refuse to cooperate...
EJR 6. jan. 2024 kl. 11:28
Stupid question, does this work with mods that removes the Paradox premade empires so this one will spawn my premade empires instead?
guardian1368 24. okt. 2023 kl. 19:35
thanks
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 24. okt. 2023 kl. 9:39
The mod has now at last been updated, at least.
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 24. okt. 2023 kl. 7:47
It's been a while since I looked into it, but I believe the game sets some limitations on how many premade and custom empires can spawn each game.

"Forcing" a empire to spawn by choosing the "always" option only adds them to the "spawn X number of these empires this game" list, and as such, if too many nations are set to always spawn, they will ironically stop each other from spawning by overfilling that list.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the game also does not favour custom or premade empires over one-another, so it will be random how many of each will spawn.

There is, as far as I'm aware, no way to change this behaviour for empire spawn selection.
guardian1368 24. okt. 2023 kl. 1:37
it works but for some reason not all custom forced empires will spawn i had 30 AI empires i made 5 custom empire but only 3 to 4 spawned
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 23. okt. 2023 kl. 21:22
Possibly. At lest for all empires that existed at the time when the mod was last updated.

These mods are easy to fix though. If I get some time later today, I'll update all my mods again.

Must admit I have not payed much attention to Stelaris for a while, so I have forgotten to keep them updated.
guardian1368 23. okt. 2023 kl. 5:08
does this still work??
Zaku II (Alias WatcherZigzagoon) 10. apr. 2023 kl. 6:25
okay

thanks
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 9. apr. 2023 kl. 17:42
@Zaku II
Most mods should be adding their empires in a .txt file inside their mod folder under "prescripted_countries".

In that .txt file, each empire should have a line called "spawn_enabled = no/yes/always". Change the part after "=" to whatever you want it to be. (example: spawn_enabled = always )

Keep in mind though; If you do not create your own local version of the mod, and only edits values in the mod's Workshop folder, your changes will be lost whenever the mod is updated by its creator.
Zaku II (Alias WatcherZigzagoon) 9. apr. 2023 kl. 14:48
Regarding your previous reply, I wish to know how I may be able to edit them.
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2021 kl. 19:03
Afraid not, as they would need to be edited individually.
Zooasaurus 24. aug. 2021 kl. 10:51
Say, does this works for premade/custom empires form mods?
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2021 kl. 13:55
Ah. Never thought of that. The Custodians are higher on the spawn list than UNE, and there is a trigger that ensures that only one of them can spawn. I'll change it when the next expansion launches, so that the custodians only have a chance to spawn, so if they don't, UNE is forced to spawn instead.
jweller12 21. feb. 2021 kl. 11:12
my games only ever spawn earth custodianship randomly never the UNE. is there a fair chance for either one to spawn? i never see UNE
Dogmatika 28. okt. 2020 kl. 11:20
yes cause that i asks if u could make such a mod i need :D
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 26. okt. 2020 kl. 18:34
Well. This mod forces the Paradox made empires to have priority for spawning, so it will then go against your goal of getting your own empires to spawn.

As such, Not using this mod, and setting your empires to force spawn, will ensure that they take priority, and then, if there are empire slots left, Paradox's empires will have a chance to spawn, (but not guaranteed, as random generated empires might also take the slots)

Though if no random made empires is what you are looking for, then I think you're out of luck. As I, at least, don't know of any mods or ways to force the game not to create them.
Dogmatika 26. okt. 2020 kl. 17:44
nope i want them to spawn. I have set them to force spawn. i have the random start system selected but there is still only 1 of them whos spawning (out of 15)
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 25. okt. 2020 kl. 11:07
Do you mean that you do not want your own empires to spawn? If so, you can turn off individual empires in the empire select window.
Dogmatika 25. okt. 2020 kl. 6:04
my self created empires do now spawn. is there a mod who fix this issue. im total fckt up from the game right now
Arc 2. juli 2020 kl. 2:41
still works as of 2.7.2 so far no abnormalities o.O
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2020 kl. 4:30
Sorry. I've been quite busy this weekend. I've updated it now.
Meaty Ogre 16. apr. 2020 kl. 21:31
Hey man, thanks for the mod!
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2019 kl. 10:48
Maybe. Depends on which mod loads last.
jweller12 31. juli 2019 kl. 0:50
compatible with cultural overhaul?
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 25. juli 2019 kl. 15:00
Yes
Im4zoos 24. juli 2019 kl. 15:02
Is this ironman compatible
alex_dt83 4. juli 2019 kl. 1:17
update please )
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 4. juni 2019 kl. 4:27
NP^^
Darth Trog 4. juni 2019 kl. 4:25
Awesome, this then allows players to get something closer to master of orion and choose who to play against. Thanks for the information, and the mod.
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 4. juni 2019 kl. 4:17
The game does not allow for two of the same empires to spawn in one game, no.
Darth Trog 4. juni 2019 kl. 3:47
Since the empire you are using could be a premade empire, is it possible that one will spawn as well, or is there something to prevent 2 of the same empire in the game?
Grimhat  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2019 kl. 7:18
^^
