After the update, the server crashed and the save files cannot be accessed. Checking with the server crash detection mod shows this mod as high-risk. I hope the author can check and handle this in their spare time. Thank you.

Take this all with a grain of salt, I am not a modder but have tampered with TE file's a lot to my liking and these are observations of mine that I have concluded to after running into hundreds of crashes with TE in world gen and in the game. I would also like to finally note that mod order is quite important, my modpack literally will not generate at all if UM has mod priority over TE. So i need to generate the world with TE, then swap the mod order back because mob AI is bricked with TE in first prio order.

As you can see, this is exactly where the issue is and causes the long wait times. Due to a considerably large size of required prefabs (TE also adds quite a few from what I remember), the chance that the code generates a world that includes all of them perfectly on the first few tries is slim. So, the code will continually generate worlds until it finds a suitable world that is able to include all the required prefabs. You can also see why now having a humongous world as opposed to a smaller or large world is better, since having a larger map means fitting those prefabs in the map is much more likely.

These prefabs are on a high priority list, so the game checks whether or not these exist in the world when generating a world. Worlds are generated randomly, and sometimes some worlds might not have the space to fit a prefab here, or perhaps another prefab replaced it, so If the prefab does not exist from the check, what happens then? Luckily, it is diligently designed and the code will scrap the entire world generating process, and run another generation of a world that might be able to fit all the required prefabs (you can think of it as rerolling seeds in minecraft).

2)The code is generating, but very slowly due to looping.

I have not modded at all in DST, but from what I understand with TE in particular with world gen is that it's quite invasion and not optimized at all. What I believe is causing the loop has to due with something called prefabs, such as a hound, a chest, and basically everything in the game more or less. Some of these prefabs are quite important, and without them you wouldnt be able to complete the game or miss vital parts of the game. So, the game ensures that prefabs such as the scrappy werepig junkyard fits under a category of "required prefabs". There exists multiple of course, and mods such as UM also has required prefabs such as the wixie puzzle.

1) The code has ran into some type of error and is no longer generating.

This is bad of course. No matter how long you wait, it will not generate. There is a relatively easy way to know this without knowing a drop of what you're looking at when at the server_log in the cluster of the world, which is to simply observe whether or not the server_log is increasing in kilobytes at all within a reasonable amount of time. If no change at all is seen in size within like 10 minutes, it is pretty safe to say that the world is bricked.

@Motenai_Ronin from my little understanding of tampering with DST mods, there are either two situations. Firstly, I would like to say that yes, TE (tropical experience) has had long world generating times for me. I havent used so many mods to your extent with like 80 mods, but I have used UM, legion, Beneath the world below, TE, and a couple other mods to total to like 20 ish (I suppose only UM tampers with the world gen and yes ive had a multitude of issues with UM and TE).
Even with comparatively few mods as opposed to your modpack, I have had 40 minute maybe wait time. What I believe reduces the wait time is to actually generate the world on humongous as opposed to the regular large generation. This seems counter intuitive, until you actually understand why generating a world takes so long which I will get into.
