Thats because Coach is a redneck. He doesn't know anything about sports that arn't popular in other nations.

Cricket is quite popular in Britain, Australia and India so it has some cultural relevance in those countries. Baseball has virtually no presence in Britain or Australia/India as far as I know.

I think it's mostly, because of Shaun of the Dead, where the protagonist uses a cricket bat against the zombies but I don't know, maybe it is about cultural relevance.

Oh and did you notice that Coach never calls it cricket bat? Despite his background in sports? XD

i dont even get why the cricket bat is even in the game. im not saying its a bad thing or anything but dude. the game is in america. and in the south. im american and i dont even know what cricket is.

@Revolverman no that's if you encounter the undead orm of Roger Clemens, Darryl Strawberry will take the bat off you and kill the infected more effeciently... and he'll pretty much replace you.
