Might be the case that because the woods feature is spawned first, there aren't many left for savannah. Should still be a few left, though.

Will you make it compatible with Savanna Savanna? When both are enabled, only Woods and Marshes will be generated in the desert without any Savanna.

thanks for uploading
EndlessSauron 14. dec. 2023 kl. 6:53
would it be possible to request a woods spawn on snow mod?
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2023 kl. 7:19
I think so, but don't remember exactly.
Imbored 4. aug. 2023 kl. 21:28
with this mod can you spawn woods in desserts when you unlock reforrestry in the tech tree?
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 2. apr. 2023 kl. 8:30
Yeah. It was very out of date and I had no interest in updating it.
Pen 2. apr. 2023 kl. 8:19
I remember there was a mod called just deserts before, which was really good, but I can't find it. Was it removed?

@Venusaisha:
I think there's a mod that can help your problem; look for "guaranteed oases" on this game's Steam Workshop.
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 21. juni 2022 kl. 11:57
I've no clue what could be behind your oases not spawning, if there is actually a problem. But oftentimes oases simply don't spawn. They're more likely to spawn on larger maps because there are more chances for the conditions to be right. This is why I made the Guaranteed Oasis mod.
Venusaisha 21. juni 2022 kl. 3:32
Mod key words , "desert" , "marshes" , "oases" when searching workshop and also attached collections for footnotes. Certain mods may conflict with others , it a needle in a hay sack , me current mod use is at 107. :Diplomat:
Venusaisha 21. juni 2022 kl. 3:21
Maybe depend on what mods ye use: Vegetation Variety (Standalone),Desert Woods,Wetlands, Desert Woods and Marshes. And there is oases mods as well like Guaranteed Oasis. Me use Vegetation Variety (Standalone),Desert Woods,Wetlands, prettier lake, orange desert , & others from my LC-VI collection plus the optionals.
Laydane 20. juni 2022 kl. 12:53
For some reason oases stopped spawning at the maps smaller than large. What compatibility issue it could be?
thecraftybee 5. mar. 2022 kl. 4:11
Using the cheat mode mod, you can add woods and rainforest to mountain tiles but I think it may cause issues later in the game. Is it possible for a mod like this to also allow for woods/rainforest to be used on mountains during map creation?
ทอม เบรดี้ 21. dec. 2021 kl. 1:04
love your idea
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 14. apr. 2021 kl. 11:57
Not something I plan to do. :momozzz:
Bluesky95 14. apr. 2021 kl. 11:46
Could you make mod disable planting forest in desert?
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 5. juni 2020 kl. 9:15
Jungle doesn't work on desert outside of map scripts. This mod isn't coded to allow forest and marsh on desert. It's coded to allow all features that aren't ice or water features on desert. I never specify in the code.
Nizou 17. mar. 2020 kl. 5:06
Is there a mod who makes spawn Savannah (a revised vegetation) in desert ? I think normal forest in Desert is way OP when using "Better Snow, Desert and Tundra Tiles" mod
The Overseer 15. mar. 2020 kl. 11:35
Jungle is way more fitting than forest, since the oasis' palms are used on the jungle's graphic
The Great Kolniksky 12. okt. 2019 kl. 19:02
Okay cool
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 12. okt. 2019 kl. 18:43
I can't think of any reason why it would if it's just reading what exists. This only changes database entries. So as long as it isn't making its own tables or anything to read, should be fine.
The Great Kolniksky 12. okt. 2019 kl. 18:39
Will this have compatibility issues with the cheat map editor mod?
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 9. sep. 2019 kl. 21:31
Updated for Gathering Storm. And by that I mean it should've worked before, but with a compatibility warning. Warning should be gone.
rlong9000 20. feb. 2019 kl. 19:39
@Sailor Cat - Regarding our previous exchange regarding variety of desert plants, an "almost good enough" effect can be accomplished using the CME and dropping rainforest feature which *sort of* looks like palm trees. A leas overtly cheating method might be to enable builder to "rejungle", similar to the way it can reforest.?

Thank you for all you add to the game!
thomas.g.higgins 5. okt. 2018 kl. 9:32
I'm just the seed planter...agricola...thanks for all that you have done, and fortunately, we all grow...so, someday, maybe...keep up the good works.
Chrissant 12. sep. 2018 kl. 7:04
Thank you. It's good to see Civ 6 at least brought in a lot of new and obscure things.
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2018 kl. 6:12
It's the Eye of the Sahara from Rise and Fall.
xhaowell 11. sep. 2018 kl. 23:45
@VerdeCaelum if youre talking about that big fucking crater thing thats 3 tiles big thats a natural wonder, dont know if its in the base game or if it came with a DLC, its definetly not a mod tho.
Chrissant 11. sep. 2018 kl. 22:45
This is an irrelevant question, but could you tell me from which mod that richat formation in the middle of the desert came from? :)
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 11. sep. 2018 kl. 21:42
I am sorry, but Desert Forest and Marsh does not include the gold resource. I think you're looking for another mod.
banjaxdeezine 11. sep. 2018 kl. 17:46
i'll say this for these mods- while i may never sub, these comments are gold, Jerry, GOLD!
emperor_ike 11. sep. 2018 kl. 14:43
subbing just for the description art tbh
pure gold
rlong9000 11. sep. 2018 kl. 10:03
the fact that you would if you could is good enough for me:steamhappy:
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 9. sep. 2018 kl. 8:44
While I'd love to do all those things, they're totally beyond what I'm capable of (if they're possible).
rlong9000 9. sep. 2018 kl. 7:51
@thomas.g.higgins visually appealing canals (not ones that look like forts ala Civ V mod) and navigatable rivers are on my wish list, too.

@Sailor Cat If you have gone into the wish business... if builders could replant desert flora like cacti or yucca on desert tiles as they do forests on non desert tiles, if would make national parks in desert regions more appealing. And for a coup de gras, a harbor and/or water park district that actually creates an inland lake/sea where one did not exist on the map? Love what you add to the game!
thomas.g.higgins 7. sep. 2018 kl. 2:57
works great , thank you...now, can you make a mod that creates canals, for inland cities...or for transit of ships through isthumuses...I usually play Island Continents and Low Sea Levels which sometimes creates inaccessible seas. I thought forts could be used to create them, like the Panama Canal...but, I think that an entirely new Zone might be better...that could be created for each hexagon, until the canal is dug...it would have to have economic bonuses, and production bonuses, and food bonuses too, and maybe a faith bonus due to the sweat and blood. An Alternate Idea would be to rewrite the Great Wall as Great Canal as they did in China to connect the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers way back when. I'd like it if you could extend the idea to your writing partners...Thanks...Tom....And Why can't we make Rivers Navigable by Ships Too, while we are at it?
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 6. sep. 2018 kl. 20:15
Use Google or something.
Championxs 6. sep. 2018 kl. 19:51
A desert marsh would just be a floodplain, which already exist but only when a desert tile is on a river... with varrying chances to spawn.
XVeris 6. sep. 2018 kl. 16:55
Wouldn't a Desert Marsh just be an Oasis?
Killbot 6. sep. 2018 kl. 16:32
it makes desert tiles more usable,
which is always good
thomas.g.higgins 6. sep. 2018 kl. 14:23
that's fun...mod looks good...so long, and thanx for all the fish!
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 6. sep. 2018 kl. 12:48
Haha. Fair enough!
weraptor 6. sep. 2018 kl. 12:31
no, it's just... weird :D
Sailor Cat  [ophavsmand] 6. sep. 2018 kl. 11:56
Is the description giving you trouble?
weraptor 6. sep. 2018 kl. 11:13
what the hell
