Recycling 4.0 is coming soon!

New features include:

- RecycleDesk will be rotatable and has bigger sprite to give space for all recycled stuff it finds.
- improved RecycleDesk script now throws found stuff neatly on stacks to prevent workers around it swarming allover the place to stack found stuff.
- RecycleDesk now also finds half rotten but still eatable Cabbage which goes back to kitchen.
- added Recycling Worker, to operate the desk and give reform classes.

- improved Unsorted Trash script now knows when it blocks a door and repositions if needed.
- Unsorted Trash scans surrounding area for more Unsorted Trash and when found will combine.

- Recycle Bin now produces Super Compost instead of Fertilizer.

Recycling 4.0 is coming soon!

- Super Compost will help Garden Pots grow much faster.

- changed the Garden Control sprite to deal with hidden outdoor light beneath it.
- improved Garden Control script to reduce lag: it now distributes all jobs neatly per Update() cycle instead of everything at once for all Garden Pots in range.

- Garden Control now auto spawns materials needed for the Garden Pots and keeps track of them to minimize Supply Trucks showing up with garden materials. In theory there should be no trucks needed to arrive when having a Garden in your prison = less traffic jam.

- sprite added for when lightning strikes the garden.
- added button to toggle lightning strikes on/off.

- some more plants and bushes added.

This and perhaps more will be released as a new mod (no ETA known yet)

Recycle desk in my game won't work. It only show one block and give me an error in Room Requirements "Failed Recycle Desk".

@murgh I think it's because the new DLC from Prison architect was released two days ago, and the DLC's content is similar to this mod apparently :) a comment on the DLC was sending the link to this mod, its how I found it out!

This mod got some rendering issues with the latest game versions and the garden controls can use some code optimization to stop it lagging every 15 game minutes when it spams jobs on all garden pots at the same time. This should be done gradually for each pot instead to prevent anoying lag spikes.

I'm busy updating this mod which will be released as Recycling 4.0 when it's done.
Meanwhile this version stays online for archive and will no longer be updated from now on.
Grab the 4.0 edition when it gets published (no ETA known yet).

Hopefully I can make it combined compatible with the latest game version as well as the old Anniversary 2018 edition, that would be nice. We'll see, no promises made

If you're using one of the the Recycling mods, then besides a bin also put the Recycling room nearby a Cargo Helipad/Station configured for Exports (recycling ends with garbage going to Exports, not the old Garbage room).

Also I do recommend putting one or two bins by your road terminals if you are using advanced roads 2.0, at least by the deliveries area as when unboxing stacks garbage is made.

Mod works great, seamlessly updated from recycling (1.0) to 3.0 today. No huge changes, but it certainly seems to be more indepth and stable. I tend to make lots of trash since I am constantly building/destroying parts of my prison, so right now 34 recycling desks and 100+ bins are being used. Mod still works great, even if my exports area can't keep up

Hehehe, yes it can complete, you just need to figure out how to achieve it. I've put this nasty little grant in there by design. Usually all grants are dull, but this one requires some more attention to detail.

I see, also the grant of gradening is reseted everytime - it says "harvested x" but then it resets and i need to harvest it again. the grant never complete it self.

So, adjust the room to the prisons needs to deal with garbage? This is just a logistics issue you created, nothing mod related.
