finally finished the map, considering my awful sense of direction and no cheats that's a great accomplishment

except i had to teleport the device when it got crushed by a moving wall and fell through the ground and i didn't realize i needed it until i pushed all 13 buttons, so i teleported it back to the base so i wouldn't have to do the map all over again, since i already had to try this map at least 20 times

if you still have the files i'd suggest an update with a button that resets the position of device 7, it's the only major flaw with this map

I finished the map finally and I must say, as a fan of the movies and books, you did a wonderful job. you scared me with the grievers, you got me stratagizing, and you had me having fun. I plan on roleplaying this map with my friend who's also a fan. You did such a good job and I would love to see how you would continue the series. This was very cool!

No one here is guilty for having a right to dislike. The Death Cure is a project that has a foundation for future additions, and will be playable until after the Scorch Trials is released, which is not soon because its quality exceeds the maze's.
If you are interested in map design and you are a passionate beginner, you have my permission to decompile this map for the .vmf if you would like.

I'm looking at the comments of this map, and all I see is a bunch of people who don't realize the amount of effort that it actually takes to make something like this. This is incredible and is quite honestly one of the coolest maps i've seen on the workshop. It's disappointing that this comment section dissolves down to people asking for vmf's(which you can easily get on your own anyway) and wolf man asking when "death cure" will be made, which if you want it so bad, make it your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ self. Like jesus christ at least say really cool map before leaving your ♥♥♥♥♥ ass complaint that has some easy fix.

The current Mustafar map on the Workshop is OK, but it's not very accurate and has some pretty dull textures and really nothing much to do. I was wondering if you would consider altering it so it looks the way it did in the famous Duel on Mustafar.

There is not much progress since I started "star_warfare_campaign". The death cure has about a quarter of the citizen's town finished, excluding parking garages and underground subway stations. I still need to plan out the street hierarchy used in the Last City's network topography, and see how it could work in garry's mod. The map size would be the equivalent to "gm_bigcity" but half would be made of destitude suburbs.

You got it. I did my research on what models I want to use and I am beginning to construct the immensely complicated architect of the suburbs of the Right Arm resistence in the Death Cure. But I am planning on finishing out the underground areas (and optimising them) of the scortch trials map before continuing the death cure. If the source engine lets me, I plan on making the undeground abandoned mall. The city ruins at least satisfy the barren effect of it. When I hit the source engine limit before including every important setting I observe from the movie, I can put it on the workshop and (maybe) find a way of making the rest downloadable content.

The pool of water came from an image of the maze runner's concept art; it never made it in the film. The area is located north of section 3 in the very last screenhot of this mod. Also, I did not see your screenshot. Was there a link I missed?

Hey, quick question. I noticed that in one of the map's screenshots, there's a pic of some blocks floating in a pool of water. I can only guess that it's from the scene in the movie where Thomas and Minho are escaping the collapsing walls. Where in the map is it located?

No, VenturianTale hasn't played on it, I just base a lot of my screenshots off of characters from their channel. They make up their own fictional characters and stuff, then base lots of their videos on it. You can try submitting your Maze Runner map to them, but I don't know how. I just made the screenshot based on their fictional characters and the Maze Runner.

You'd have to watch a few of their videos to understand anything about the lore, because it's just weird.

I am interested in seeing your map photography. Are you saying that the gmod maze runner is on YouTube?

Just a few hours ago, I actually completed my 200th screenshot! And it actually takes place on this very map, if you want to see it.

If you've never watched VenturianTale on YouTube, though, it's not gonna make much sense.

@Mr Insanity to answer your question, I am confident enough to say that the maze runner series would not be complete without me trying to make the Death Cure. I will do the best I can in paying close attention to its detail. You can look through the descrption of "THE DEATH CURE?" discussion to gain insight on what I would like to see, but also what you maze runner fans, who know more about the book/movie series than me, can do to give me insight.

This is a fantastic map. I admire the creativeness and the end was so satisfying.

Commitment to a passion does not rely on the ability in dextrous pride of an idiosyncratic talent. It is recognising that being passionate is a habitual commitment to unconfined idiosyncracy. I have two other maps like the maze runner, which is "ht_dam" involving the sandbox exploration feel while having a goal, and the scortch trials; entirely a sandbox-based map so far. A third map relatable to all the large sandbox maps is my all time favorite: gm_pandora_night (the completed version). After that, I don't know, but I have many other projects as well.
