Or a real cool pirate cove island in a crescent shape, you know, with a lagoon in the middle
Like this one https://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/scale_medium/2/26220/850569-pilotwings64_crescentisland.jpg
Is this too much of a challenge?
You can ask, but no guarantee. :)
I'll make a guide in discussion about how i make those maps in detail.
Maybe we will get someone that can help us figure those issues.
If not, it will give others the knowledge to create their own maps.
3/3
1 - It seems that whatever the size in height, i can't get a deeper sea level : If you look closer to the sea of my maps, in roughly 10 meters deep, with rocks, and few fishes, if you go to the edges of the map, you will notice that in goes deeper all a sudden.
2- My maps are "pixelly", it's not a problem, you can still play, but, it's not "fancy".

And largest tile size to extract those is 60km.
I can then resize it to fit in a 2048x2048.
I can even take multiple tiles of 60km, put them together to make a larger one and then resize to 2048x2048 pixels image.
Problem with Breton Island was that some part of the island was not "extractable" for some reason.

more than an island, it would be interesting to see something like a continent. which has some mountains in the background, like the forest village cover...
or if definitely it cannot be make a continent, then a big island but with an interesting geography. like flat areas near the coast or some river, but with difficult mountains.
;)
that would be great. but just knowing that you can use real geography to create islands is great enough. (2048x2048 is the biggest thing you can get, then it would be nice to know how much that is in scale in kilometers to make an area to scale with the size of the map within the game. For example 2048x2048 is not all the geography of England.)
I couldn't do it.
But i made Anticosti ISland.
Hope you'll like it.
