Can confirm it crashes on summon. But works fine during random encounters.

For some reason it crashes when I try tl summon it through the Altars, but I can still fight a Grue on night ambushes, defeated 2 Ravenous ones! Is there a way to fix the altar crash?

The fact that this boss can spawn as a nighttime ambush is a problem, because it makes groups that don't have prevent nighttime ambush among their camping skills effectively unusable. Indeed, even regular Shambler nighttime ambushes were so bad that Red Hook took the (entirely wise) decision to remove the Shambler from the possible nighttime ambushes a few months before the game came out of early access, as you can see here:

I'd suggest either removing Grue from the nighttime ambush pool as Red Hook did with the basic Shambler, or providing a warning in the mod description that Grue is able to do this. This feature, far from slotting into the game seamlessly, substantially changes the way you have to play it and thus Grue, in its current form, is not a mod that can be installed lightly. If you intend on keeping this feature that's fair enough, but in that case the mod description ought to reflect this.

This hasn't given me any issues other than being a crazy hard fight and no sound on some attack animations, but I could go for more loot in the drops for a lot of monsters most rarely seem to drop a decent trinket Grue included, but I know I got one or two so far, just fought it several times..

Damn sure love a mod that crashes after the moment it says "YOU WILL BE EATEN BY A GRUE", I appreciate the nightmares.

@Zabivaka Hentai Artist I got the same thing and I have a decent machine, so I doubt it's because of the PC

I saw "YOU WILL BE EATEN BY A GRUE", and then the game insta-crashed. Can't open the file. My computer's shit, so no big surprise, but it was ominous as fuck. I'll get back to this once I have a better computer, cosidering a cool-looking Shambler re-skin hasn't devoured me by then.

In order to beat a Grue make sure you have a lantern or anything that produces light, because Grues are afraid of the light!(I will love you forever to anyone who got the reference.)

Causes crashes for me, even when on the top of the mod order. I do have the Courtyard+ mod which supposedly tweaks curio interactions and the cursed treasures mods for the special trinkets, but other that that nothing i can think of to cause conflict with your mod.
