I am trying to decide what Raft mod to use. I used to use this mod but with the authors passing I am sure it will die out. We are just coming back to the game and learning that we cannot really use S+, so now I am trying to find a good lighting mod, I loved the glass in S+ and a better raft mod for me to be able to put more stuff on the rafts again.

Well, I sort of got something working with this mod. I managed to increase the structure distance limit so you can build larger rafts using the platform extension methods with foundations/ceilings.
Seems somewhat inconsistent so far, but if anyone cares to test it out for me:

I don't recommend using the mod in your primary game, as it makes a lot of changes.

With the passing of the Author of this great mod is there any possability of someone with the skills taking it over?

First off, loving the mod! :D especially the prebuilt sloop, but I notice a substantial fps drop when looking at it, shouldn't be a problem when my daily gpu gets back from the shop, but for now my Potato GPU doesn't like it ha ha keep up the great work, can't wait to see where this goes!

@tiggidytex there is a frame for the drawbridge that you have to snap to the sloop first. Check the notice in description ;)

Hi. We have a bug on our server. Cant snap any ES structures (floor etc.) on the ES Rafts. We dont have other platform mods or raft mods installed

BTW: I am still able to use the raft and build fondations and other stuff on it. Cheat command is not doing any change.

I am only playing single player. Once I had the problem, that my char was deleted/overwritten and I had to start again but could take over the existing dinos and structures. But the rafts were created long after this error.
Now I unsubbed, deleted the folder and file and resubbed. After downloading I started Ark and feared to lose my existing raft but there is still anything and... also no change.
While I am atm playing at Hope Map I thougth maybe I test a different map. So I switched to TheCenter map. There I got a different char but still the same error.

Mods I am using:
ES Rafts, Super Spyglass (Open Source), Ammo Switcher, Resource Stacks, The Island Desert - Map Extension, Hope Map V4.8.1, Vitaberry (200) Death Recovery Mod (v1.10.2) and Omnicular v1.51

one way to test if it conflicts with another mod is to run only ES Rafts and load up a single player game. If it works it an issue with a mod. Nothing in my mod has edited an core items. It should be clean and stackable. Can You link me Your mod list? I can see if maybe one of the mods edits a core item used in mine.

Also @sw.bava said that they unsubbed and resubbed. This will not change anything in the files of the mod on Your PC. You would need to go to Your mod folder and delete the two items named 1486114391. It should have a folder and a file. Just delete them both and let steam redownload it.

I can ride the raft, but i cant snap any of the extensions to it.

Tried it with 3 new rafts (Vanilla, ES Raft & ES Ship Base) - 2 build & 1 admin spawn - but with all 3 the same negativ result.

Maybe when u look in my Modlist, u can find the Problem - i, didnt know, what to do anymore now. :(

So, I was able to recreate the error but only by placing the raft while in my tribe and then leaving the tribe and then trying to place the platform. Are you two able to ride the raft still? Have You left your tribe by any chance? I would recomend pointing at the raft and using the command (cheat GiveToMe) and seeing if you can place the platform.

Same here, Singleplayer too.

Like with the SnappySaddles Mod from OrionSun:

None of the extensions work, only get the Error "Platform Extension can not be set: can only be built on suitable, friendly platforms".

Beside of that, i like this Mod, cause with the ES Raft, Mobile Bases are working again - no more damn Leedsichtys wrecking your SweetHouseboat :D

Hmm. I will try to recreate the issue tonight. Have you only tried in single player?

Thank you for the Feedback. I just canceld the subscribtion an resubscribed. Still no change. No snappoint on the "normal" raft too. I also tried now the motor raft and there is also no snappoint. Error Message is always: "Platform Extension can not be set: can only be built on suitable, friendly platforms".

@sw.bava I have not ran into that issue. Have You deleted the mod files and let it download again. Sometimes files get corrupt or don't copy correctly. What about normal raft? The platform, Hut and Sloop should all snap to any raft. This includes vanilla, and rafts from Advanced Rafts mod.

I think I am doing something wrong. Maybe you can help me: I just crafted the ES Raft and wanted to add the floar or the hut but there is no snappoint. I also crafted the ship base but there i got the same problem. I am single player.

@tiggidytex the windows and the drawbridges have frames that need to be snapped first. due to the way ark handles rafts.

Med Sail, cabin door frame and door, all work fine. Seems the window shutters aren't snapping either.

Can't find the snap point for the drawbridge onto the sloop. always red no matter where I try and place. There a trick to it? Having issues in my own SP as well as on a friend's mulitplayer on a server

@winterfalk Thanks for the feedback. Glad You like the mod. When it comes to changing the speed as an option I am staying away from it due to issue i have seen in every other mod that does that. When the speed is foce changed by an ini setting or radio option it tends to cause alot of lag and glitches such as dinos falling off. If i get enough request for speed changes to the base speed i will be glad to look at it.

One suggestion though:
The wooden raft seems a little bit toooo fast. xD
It's hard to control it. I'd kindly recommend to make it either a bit slower ooooor: you can implement different speeds to choose from. But that might still be beyond your skills atm. Maybe with a little help from experienced modders it may be no problem sometime later. =)

@GGLLTT Thanks for the feedback and glad Yall like it. I have some small cool things coming soon and a larger item being worked on that if it works correct will open some doors for how far i can push things.

Have had a good play with the updated ES Raft. All looking great, working well and able to remove & replace panels/items with no problems. great job & so prompt. You mentioned some other items to come. I look forward to this. My wife & I play Ark quite a bit & both like the ES raft. 5 stars from us.

Update for the "Platform out of range" error in single player is live. Sorry if this causes anyone to have to replace their raft but i had no choice in the way i had to fix it. Pleas give it a try and report any bugs in the bug reports discussion. Thanks For all the support!

I just wanted to let everyone know that i will be pushing a new update most likely tomorrow. This update is to fix the issues that make the platforms unusable after logging out and back into single player. This Update may or may not cause the rafts to need to be replaced and it is possible that the raft could vanish. I wanted to let everyone know ahead of time to give my subs a chance to move anything they have on their raft off so that as little as possible is lost. Really sorry for the inconvenience. This should be the last time this drastic of a change should be needed as I do not see me having to change any core mod items again.

@Tooarmy I am guessing you are playing single player. This is known issue and i should have an update fixing this within the next day or so. Sorry for the inconvenience.

i keep getting an error that says i cant add anything else as soon as i add the hut to it, as its too far away from the base of the platform.

oh ok , I just didn't understand you correctly. Yes you are correct on the base of what the mod is. but plan on that just being the base and expanding to more things.

what im trying to get at is ive done the large boat for moving tames and taming tames it isnt hard to do and i get that this mod is just to take out the middle man and go straight to using the boat with multiple benefits. yes? and comment in wrong mod? no i dont think so. i like the mod.

moving tames may be tedious but its good practice and you find there are other ways to do it. me personally i like bridges. the more i build the more xp i get . even when the work is pointless once its structured and i have the tames the speed at which i build dams and bridges gets quicker.i mostly just use that one vulture and transport stone from the nearby mountain.
