was looking for a mod that would let you choose which breakthroughs you unlocked or would let you get them all like this, but i bought the best edition and so i would assume that means this wont be compatible.

if this works well, i would personally like to buy you B&B if you would extend it, or make an alternate version to include it, love the idea of capturing asteroids to fully mine, then sending them on their way, instead of being time locked, but that breakthrough is not always guaranteed

I would love to see this mod available for those of us with B&B. Would it be possible to make it appear (always) as a breakthrough instead of a social tech? I don't blame you for not wanting to get B&B. The devs should give modders a copy being you're the only ones keeping this game working and fun.

I am sorry, it's not always easy to fix this because if techs are added to the tree this tech resides in, the indexes need to be increased to the last index available so that this tech always appears. If I wouldn't do that, it would end up as a "random tech" that _can_ appear in the end.

I can basically decide between breaking it for people without Below and Beyond or fixing it for them and breaking it for those that don't own it

Maybe I'll create a second version of this mod as soon as I own the expansion, I'll keep this updated here.

I'm playing a mystery where I have to research a breakthrough, but I think it didn't appear beacause of the max number of breakthroughs rule, could this mod help ?

Yeah, sorry for that, techs defined in the way they are currently are basically bound to collide if you want to have them appear at a fixed position and not randomly like other techs.

I would have to look way deeper into modding than I did when writing this mod to fix this :D

Nevermind. The issue was a conflict of mods. So I removed one and yours became a normal unknown, not the [<FieldDisplayName>] one.

I'm not able to research this item. The icon is there but all it says is "Unknown Tech {<FieldDisplayName>}. Whenever I'm researching a different tech I can see a percentage overlaying the tech but I'm not getting any breakthroughs that I haven't discovered in-game or aren't coming from story related events.

The ? actually is the icon, I lost the old icon so I filled in a random one, I will replace it as soon as I find it again

I updated it, it shows up when testing, maybe you want to try it?

Sometimes it's a real hassle because of the randomization of techs and the fixed indexes for them.

Мод всё еще работает на новой версии игры. Чтобы мод поддерживался текущей версией, зайдите в Редктор Модов, откройте его (нажав edit) (при открытии будет вопрос, сохранить ли этот мод локально, на диск, нажмите да(yes)). После того как мод открылся, просто нажмите сохранить (Save) не внося каких либо изменений.
Всё, теперь вы можете его активировать в управлении модами :)
К сожалению работать он начинает только с новой карты.

Is it updated? It doesn't appear anywhere in neither in Social nor other tech tree... I've installed in a current savegame, it's supposed to work with saved games?

the tech doesnt seems to have an icon/ you cant "see" it at the end but if you hover your mouse over the spot after social tech 20 you can see the highlight and can select it

so yeah i knew i forgot something lol

I just finished a 400+ Sol map using this mod and it's so good that I now consider it to be essential. I usually play with all disasters maxed and 500+% difficulty so it was nice to have a few extra perks to compensate. Thank you for this; truly a great mod.

In my current game it appears in the social tree at the last position or after the last social tech to be precise (nr.21)
i dont remember the starting cost but it increases by 3000 rp more afterwards
considering the description says 10% increase i guess it was 30000 base

I also have tech variety enabled so idk if its at slot 21 all the time but in my case it is

How late into the game does this research supposed to show up?
