the TLS wannabe team ruined this and much more this one modified talker i fucking loved was a kick ass one shame that its bust with some lines not working (a friend of mine had this issue).

I agree with Altego_SXT. I noticed some of the lines from the other survivors used towards Rochelle, Coach, and Louis are racially-motivated or just downright mean. The other survivors don't get that treatment.

Rochelle is the only Survivor that's called a "B*tch" when using the "Look" command on her.

The mod is great and works perfectly within local servers, but would better if those lines were removed.

Is there a version to play online? sometimes the vocalizers mods cut out when the bots do their own dialogue...

tl;dr: this mod is broken cuz TLS team plagiarized few lines from it and you'll never get it to work unless you own Pre-TLS version of the game or dev decides to update it.

Does this still work or is the developer still having his temper tantrum?

When I have this mod active, the campaign's specific dialogue won't play, i mean scenarios like ellis and coach yelling at the hellicopters to come back at the start of dead center, or later in the elevator while they are presenting each other. Is there any setting or file I can edit so that it plays correctly?

Solid effort, definitely will add to the dialogues between survivors; however, personally I do not approve some use of racial slurs in the scripts when describing Coach or Louis; and some selection of mourning Rochelle lines seems to be racially motivated as well. Good work on the effort putting everything together tho.

Smac Mac, it doesn't work, but you can just turn it off, you don't need to uninstall it

Man, they screwed this up big, I cannot believe they will just ignore it beyond all reasons.

Author, can you atleast find a workaround so that the mod will still work for us? I can't believe the audacity of these Last Stand team screwing up my mods like this and the rest of my team communication lines that made L4D2 the best it should be.

I just wanted to say that Epsilon's Modifed Talker is the best 'talker addon' out there and I couldn't thank you enough for all the effort you put into it.

I think many players (especially the old timers, addon creators and server owners) share the overall frustration with the TLS update. I could only advise to look at it from a different angle-- it laid a solid groundwork for whatever vocalizer they decided to use in the TLS update, and that only confirms the greatness of your work.

That being said, I sincerely hope you will find motivation and time to update it.

Modified Talkers enable automatically. What they do is increase the amount of ambient voice-lines from survivors that you'll hear. Though, this one hasn't worked since the Last Stand Update, as the update plagiarized this one's code, and until this addon gets updated, it will not work as intended until further notice.

How do I make this work? I have tried for ages but still can't figure how to do it

But yeah, L4D2's communication in teamwork and comedy was completely on another level, and it sucks seeing it go away, just like my own heart after it too.

Yeah, Vox's vocalizezr was definitely outdated in a basic form, but in a way, Ion's vocalizer was alot more advanced in a very rich and fun way while keeping the two seperate, too bad this update screwed both of them AND Modified Talker.

Man, I knew I loved this Modified Talker when I realized some of it's lines are completely missing (I miss having Coach say "Get your ass moving, Nick!"), this new update killed the fun of what's supposed to be the final update, and yet, here we are.

So is there a way to make it work with Ion's? Because I really don't want to miss your modified talker as me and my friend have so much fun with it.

Too sad that VOX gotten outdated. I switched to Ion's Vocalizer and has lot of lines but than I realized it uses their own talker and can't make use of this which is sad because Ion's talker files are not entertaining enough.

I tried myself to combine them as a test but seems some lines ended up being muted when doing so.

looks like last stand update fixed the stringtables crash, now i can play maps without strings with this talker!

It will update but won't update soon. This depends on how many modifications need to be done so you still could utilize current MT in community campaigns after DLC releases.

Curious will this addon get updated if the major update "The last Stand" comes out? They seems to add unused lines. But perhaps they may not change the fun dialogue.

Yes, without this talker they talk okay. But with this mod it's better to l4d1 talk with l4d2 and l4d2 talk with l4d1

This never happened on my server when using Sourcemod plugin to increase more L4D1 survivors. Have you tried this again without Modified Talker in an official L4D2 campaign?

It brokes l4d1 survivors call anothers from l4d1 band. Maybe it's because i am having all 8 survivors in l4d2 campagins.
