Ok I subscribe to this mod, and I like it a lot, just 1 issue. It really don't cost any focus, and it does not have to reload either. So this bow is a little OP. To balance this, the damage is from 1 to 6 so it could be a very low damage. (I'm using the vanilla Templar and a personal class made with "Create Your Own Class Templates" )

what is the command for this?

is there a console command to grab these items directly namely the Enkan ?

So aside from fire pistol, can the bowcaster use other pistol skills?

Wish someone would use the animation to make a normal bow and arrow

@RakkoHug~<3 kinda... you can use both with something like Dedicated Pistol Slot. But the templar holds both weapons (autopistol + bow) in his right hand and it looks bad.

Can autopistols be still used side by side with the bow?

Is the bow compatible with all existing vanilla pistol abilities, such as return fire?

Oh my, this mod does look really neat! No wonder a lot of users want this to have update priority. :)

But yeah the Psi Operatives will hold out whatever other weapon they have equipped when they fire the BowCaster which looks a bit silly, though it does work aside from that.

P.S. I just wanted to say I love that you made this mod as it's super cool! I love bow related things. This is an awesome mod!~

Just a suggestion,since its a secondary for normal templars.
Could it be made a primary for proficiency/psionic units? This version could cost 2AP like snipers so you have to be positioned beforehand to shot it,to avoid easy shot,that could be a good compromise so that more units could have a go at it.

Bowcaster is actually the last mod I worked on when I stopped working, and it's true that it has accumulated bugs. Here are some bug fixes I'm considering at this point:

- Fix Focus and AP Cost bugs.
- Stopped supporting Proficiency Templars.
(Sorry everyone., in fact over 50% of the errors in this mod come from this "templar class that completely replaces the original templar but doesn't use the original focus system". Someone needs to make an addon for Proficiency Templars.)

I have a question if anyone can help. When my Psi Op class character fires the bowcaster secondary it bugs out and they also hold out their primary weapon on top of the bow in their hand. Is there a way to fix this?

I would like to make the Bow a primary weapon as well, But simply changing ClassData to add it is not working. What gives?

I only see Tier 1 of the bowcaster. I think I might have a conflicting mod though. My mind tells me "Templar gear" may still be enabled and conflicting. Or it's fighting with the caster gauntlet mod which is the same deal. Anyone else run into this issue?

Any way the body animations of this mod could be made into a normal bow? Want to build an archer so bad

If i had to give the ability for bows to be a primary weapon, what should i add to the ini to make that possible ?

I often test starting load time of the game when enabling new mods.
This mod increased my load time by 10 seconds.
It could be indication that your game might slow down too because of it.

Hi All, I've been testing this mod a little bit recently and as others have reported, the ability template is quite broken. In particular, the 'reload' ability of the bow was the thing that originally applied the focus cost, but this is now commented out and applying the focus cost on firing has not been implemented to compensate. The alternative ability which costs 2APs for proficiency templars is also commented out so firing now has a fixed AP cost of 1. Anyway, I really like the idea of this mod & if you don't have the time to bugfix & test it etc., I'd be more than happy to release an updated version at some stage. I'm an active face on the modding discord so feel free to get in touch.

Yap it seems the latest update broke something. You can shoot it with one action and don't need focus to shoot it as others have mentioned.

I believe this mod isn't working as intended? Bows can be shot twice in one turn and dont drain focus. They can also be used without focus. Am I missing something? Is this working as intended or is this a bug? Awesome mod I love the idea and the animations!

I can't seem to get this to work with true primary secondaries. I set it as a primary weapon for the class, but it won't show up.

I'm using this with Alpha115's Project:Mindblade and Covert Infiltration (so no Mod Jam or LWOTC), but I have an issue similar to @Grizzly. My bow works like a remote rend with guaranteed hit regardless of distance or line of sight. Although I don't seem to gain Focus with the bowcaster, I can fire it without focus and never need to reload it. It was really cool at first, but it's way OP without the Focus consuming limitation.

Shame these don't work yet for Proficiency Templars (can't even select the weapon, even if I add the entry in XCOMClassData - both this mod and the Prof Templar class mod). The graphics are just so awesome.

If I decide that I don't like that "give an enemy a shield if I miss them" thing, do I just change the damage from -10 to 10?

Not sure if it's because of LWOTC specifically or Mod Jam I am both using, but bowcasters are bugged in my game. Reload option for them never appear and shooting them behave like Rend giving Focus instead of consuming it.

Really wish these could be set as primary. I hate having to use guns on psi soldiers. Doesn't feel right.

can get focus just by doing damage with a pistol or smg and can do similar stuff like the Sharpshooter

Also how do I set the Bowcaster to use two action points since I'm using the Proficiency classes?
