Yeah cant upgrade the mil camp or get cav

i cant seem to upgrade the mil camp (i got the datapack) i dont play shogun to much do i need some tech for that?

Hello mr IZZI, I was surprised that there were no more updates for total fots, games so promising and full of possibilities thanks to your creativity on shogun 2... the best (for me) of total war) and a suddenly, I felt old and disconnected when discovering (on yootube) your work based on the game shogun 2 with CARLIST WAR I must have been in another dimension.

You can play this mod still. It isn't further developed and updated since a long time.

I don't understand anything...all the mods offered have become obsolete and we can no longer play them...could a kind soul tell me how to continue playing Mr Izzy's mods?

i have a problem with that mod. The historical campaigns page is mixed with the regular game one (France is named Jozai, USA named Aizu ...). Moreover, the new units named aren't viewable since putting my mouse on it turn my screen grey but don't show anything else. How can I fix these bugs?

@winterxstorms how old is this game? if you've been playing this long or better yet got it for free why wouldnt you have all the dlc by now?

why do we need all the goddamn dlc?

well you are a foreigner for the japanese. So it makes sense that they see you as the true enemy.

@izzi Oh I see. BTW, I play as UK in the game and almost all the Japanese clans declare war on me (both pro-emperor and pro-shogunate), and they never abide the peaceful treaties. I know the S2TW diplomacy is totally a failure but is it also affected by my ideology?(pro-Britain)

It's a sound glitch. Can't change it, even by adding the correct sounds in the db.

@izzi Hello! I wonder if the foreign units can speak their own language during the battle but they are silent instead. Can you tell me how to edit the voices(so that the British units have Royal Marines voices)I will be glad if you can help me

Yes, sadly for MP yes. Go to your Appdata and the Shogun 2 folder, go to scripts and there you will find the user_script.txt. Open it and see that both have the same order.

We do have the mod files correct. Though I'm not sure about the script order, may have done something wrong as I don't remember having to alter a script order

Do you have all the mod files and is the script order correct? Maybe reset delete the S2TW map in the Appdata. This resets the game.

My friend and I are having trouble playing as the European factions in online battles, naval battles work however when we try a land battle and make a force that is anything more than a general or mercenary, we are told that we must add units to our army before we are allowed to start the battle

That sucks man. Maybe delete the main game and re-install it? As last resort.

Are you sure there aren't any other mods in your data folder? Maybe delete the scripts folder. That resets the game.

Hmm, interestingly enough I can recruit some mercenaries and ships but that would be it.

This seems odd. When you start Fots, does the modmanager pops up? If yes, do you activate all 17 parts?

Well, the entire campaign has been revamped. I am planning to increase the map size piece by piece. The first campaign will be around the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa. New pieces of the campaign map will be gradually added. More info on discord or the forums.

Which is exactly what I did.

Okay, let me explain. First you subscribe to the 17 parts here on steam. Than, you find in the description a link to a customized data.pack. You download that file (data.pack) and copy and paste to your Shogun 2 data folder. This will replace the original data.pack. After, you run the game and activate the 17 mod packs in modmanager. The data.pack will load automatically.

So obviously that didnt work either.

Tell me if I did it rightly:
- replace data.pack in data folder with yours
- load your mod from the mod manager

Wait, i have to add yours and then replace yours with vanilla?
Sounds odd to me, shouldn't I download yours and replace the vanilla with yours?

the data_fots.pack is not the same as the data.pack. Don't change that one. I can only see that there is an issue when you add my custom data.pack and replace it with vanilla. Because that's the only cause that you can't upgrade european buildings.
