Yes, please feel free to delete my comments that are unrelated to your skin, I can imagine the cluttering is bothersome and uncalled for ^^; I'm sorry to have started it.
As for the idea, I hadn't considered it that way! It migh actually not be so horrible as I pictured (because I have seen actual artwork of a thresher with crystals in it at this same community it's... Not what I'd like to see in Depth).
I really love your concepts based on actual animals, but if you can pull off a skin based on something that's not alive, and make it actually as believable as this one? You'll have both my praise and deepest gratitude X'D

@ DynamicDragon and Kyle Thanks for discontinuing that discussion here, I do appreciate that as the comment section on any workshop item isn’t a great place for a discussion if anything go to the discussion tab and start one there if you like and drop some new skin ideas for me as I might just make it. I can make a shark that not necessarily has gemstones coming of off it or looks like it’s made out of gemstones but instead have the color scheme based off of that gemstone that makes you think of it and relate to that particular stone while keeping the realistic idea of a living swimming man-eater set on comping some diver booty.

@cwunicorn thank you and that is actually a pretty decent of an idea. The ends of this guy’s fins makes me think of gemstones to some degree. I’m going to keep that idea in mind, I haven’t started any other skins yet, just been tinkering seeing what idea will take off and I can make into a reality like I usually do… so we’ll see. ;)

It is a community workshop, this is a generic answer, but deal with it. Not everything is going to go your way or how you think or feel it should. I hate the silly skins that have been brought into the game, but for a game that LITERALLY has talking sharks in the tutuorial? Yeah, it ain't too far fetched...

Again, I'm not a skin maker, have you seen the date of that skin I made? it's old, and also was just for shits and giggles. Devs added Play-Doh mako because they wanted to, they weren't even popular, but because the lead artist is the Meme Lord, it went in.
I never told you to go play another game, I told you to go SUGGEST your SUGGESTION at another game. Because in that other game it wouldn't matter if skins are stupid af or not.
Yeah, they have a place in game, why? Again: the original lead artist left and now we have a bloody meme-factory as a lead artist. Also no, Void isn't popular at all, same with Stitches. The most popular skin would be the Orca (which is even more stupid..., proves how community should NEVER have power over what goes in or doesn't, neither should meme lords have a say in it.

You would be right, if only all skins from the workshop were as decent as this one. Which isn't the case so no, MOST skins should NOT be added to the game due to how unfit they are for it, either in terms of quality or design.
I invalidated your idea because it's another silly skin to add to the bunch. If you came here with a majestic crystal shark top quality I'd say "that's amazing! but not really fit for Depth, try Maneater, it's single player ^^".

Ok, you just missed the point entirely.
You dont have too much room to speak about such skins (stares at Wraith Tiger) I don't think many sharks have a semi demonic look. Anywho, the point isnt whether or not the skin looks natural, it is whether or not it is popular in the community, and just because something is added in the workshop does not mean it should not be added in game. But for you to completely invalidate someones idea of a skin, escpecially when you create skins as well, is misplaced and rather ignorant. Go play another game? Well, too bad, I spent money that I earned on this game, it shall continue to be in my library and I shall continue to play it every so often at my own leisure. Don't like a skin idea? downvote it and move on. Because obviously void thresher, as much as I don't like it, have a place, as it is one of the most popular skins in this game, and has down very well on the market.

Want ridiculous skins that have nothing to do with sharks just because "they would look cool"? Please, go to Maneater (another game about sharks) and suggest that there. It's a Single Player game, so if they get bs in, it won't matter, because people won't have to deal with it in-game. Which happens in Depth: sometimes I stumble upon that skin that makes me want to puke every time I see it called Harlequim Mako. Or worse: Tropical Mako.

Just know that all the ridiculous skins we have in Depth such as Void Thresher are a *mistake* that the ORIGINAL lead artist would've never let inside Depth. (Current lead artist is the same person that got Goblin in, an OFFICE MEME, so that might explain the downfall of this game in terms of cosmetic quality).
This game is about divers vs sharks, not creatures. And yet we have a bloody orca, I'm aware. Doesn't make it right to have more silly things. The more natural skins we have the better, which is what WebWings is offering here, bless them.

Well that doesn't nescessarily have to be the case with each skin. I personally would love to see some crystalline sharks, for instance, an amethsyt thresher with a large sharp crystal gor a tail whip or a giant hammerhead shark with a diamond head. If done right, it could look dope as hell.

@ DynamicDragon Thank you so much! I got those pics up, not sure if the difference is easily noticable but yeah it's there. It's the first 3 in the line up now.

yeah did that already just lessened the scaly texture on it made it more trasparent and fade away near the end but mostly you can see it on the black parts of the tail, I tried fading the scaling off of there a bit more but it made that patch super dark when I did. lol

the only request I would make to change the skin would be the tail fin. Make it less scaly and more transparent, like an actual fin
but either way, it looks good

Wow, you guys I am so appreciative of all the support and enthusiasm on this skin! This is some great feedback for me.

I did do an update and tweaked it slightly, I think Talon made a good point but don't worry Dynamic I didn't get rid of the scaling texture I just toned it down a bit in particular parts. Hopefully though it's a good middle ground. I'll also keep that in mind about the tiger maybe in the future I can do a different variation that has some inspirations from this skin.

Yes but it fits this shark better as this type of fish lives in schools(name of a group of fish, as a pack is to wolves)

The scale texture is what gives it some personality tho. Plus they are not big enough scales to make it look too much like a fish. I think it's a nice detail to mix up from the typical smooth skin :3

That's not what I meant I meant stripes like, between these and the bloodfin hammerhead from the same creator. Either way, I don't fancy them too much would love it more if they were smaller stripes c: just an opinion ofc ^w^ this skin reminds me too much of the tiger shark skin X'D in fact that's the shark this skin would fit best for.

well that is more along the lines of how a convict looks, plus you cant completely replicate it on a shark as well as those fish following it

Personally I don't fancy the tiger stripes, would suggest try some more separate stripes, not so tiger-like. Still amazing tho, I love the natural blend of an also natural colour palette! Amazing work!
